Located 7 km from Cromwell Centre in the neighbourhood of sunny Pisa Moorings, Lake Resort provides a lovely outlook in the heart of Central Otago. families. We also offer studio rooms on the upper levels for couples or business stays. Our reception is more than happy to book activities for you such as helicopter flights, racetrack rides at the Highlands Motorsport Park or even a winery tour. 4 THE CENTRAL OTAGO REGION Central Otago is known for it s quality orchards and stone fruit. Locally there is Jones Orchards and Jackson Orchards close by. Or if you are interested in sampling some of the world famous local wine there is Mt Difficulty and Aurum Wines. Lake Dunstan is a water sport playground with water skiing, wake boarding, sailboarding, kayaking, jet skiing and swimming. For outdoor activities away from Lake Dunstan there are horse treks and quad bike riding available at Cardrona. During winter Lake Resort is perfectly positioned to return to after a days skiing/boarding with access to Cardrona, Coronet Peak, The Remarkables, Treble Cone Harris Mountain Heli-Ski and the Waiorau Snow Farm. Lake Resort are also able to assist you with ski/snowboards with onsite equipment rentals.
