In-Flight Meals Sunday, October 28 Flight We cross the International Dateline en route and skip a day ahead. In-Flight Meals Monday, October 29 Auckland, New Zealand We arrive in Auckland, often called The City of Sails because of its location between two harbors. After clearing customs, we meet our coach driver and guide and begin a tour of New Zealand s largest city. Sights include Waitemata Harbour that slices Auckland in two, the imposing War Memorial Museum, One Tree Hill with its volcanic cone, the vibrant Queen Street and Sky Tower, the city s most prominent landmark with a height of 1076 feet. After checking in at our hotel, there will be some time to explore the surrounding area. In-Flight Meals/D Tuesday, October 30 Rotorua, New Zealand We leave Auckland and travel through lush green rolling hills, home to sheep farms, wineries and kiwi groves, to reach Roseland s Restaurant, where we enjoy a New Zealand barbie. After lunch, we drive a short distance to Woodland Parks to experience the entertaining Billy Black s Kiwi Culture Show. Next, we visit the Waitomo Glowworm Caves large, underground grottoes famous for the thousands of tiny glowworms that emit a pinprick of light while they hang overhead. Later, we arrive in Rotorua, a town renowned for its bubbling mud pools, geysers and fascinating Maori culture. Dinner is on our own this evening. B/L Wednesday, October 31 Rotorua Area, New Zealand Our first stop today is at the Agrodome where we learn about different breeds of sheep, watch a live sheep shearing demonstration and participate in a sheep auction. We witness the amazing sheepdogs as they respond to certain commands in order to keep the flock in line. We also explore an olive grove and fruit orchard and have the chance to sample kiwi fruit wine, manuka honey and fresh kiwi juice. Afterwards, we arrive at the Rainbow Springs Nature Park. New Zealand offers some of the finest trout fishing in the world, and our guided tour allows us a close-up look at large rainbow and brown trout as well as more exotic animals including geckos, skinks, keas and kiwis. This evening, we participate in a hangi, a feast of food wrapped in a damp cloth, buried in a pit with fire-heated rocks and slow-cooked to perfection. B/D Thursday, November 1 Queenstown, New Zealand This morning we transfer to the Rotorua Airport for our flight to the mountainous South Island, landing in Queenstown. The city is located on the shores of Lake Wakatipu, with the stunning Southern Alps as its backdrop. Renowned for adventure sports such as skiing and bungee jumping, Queenstown is also a base for exploring the region s vineyards and historic mining towns. A brief sightseeing tour acquaints us with the city before we check into our hotel. Tonight we take the Skyline Gondola to the top of Bob s Peak where we have dinner while enjoying a magnificent panoramic view of the city, lake and surrounding mountains. B/D

2 Friday, November 2 Queenstown, New Zealand Our full day excursion leads us to Fiordland National Park, New Zealand s largest with over 3 million acres. Our breathtaking route takes us through the town of Te Anau to Milford Sound. Described by Rudyard Kipling as the eighth wonder of the world, we enjoy an unforgettable cruise on the water beneath sheer cliffs and tumbling waterfalls, dominated by the mile-high Mitre Peak, one of the most photographed mountains in New Zealand. Lunch is served onboard while we try to locate dolphins, seals and the occasional penguin. Dinner is on our own this evening in one of Queenstown s numerous restaurants. B/L Saturday, November 3 Wanaka, New Zealand The entire morning is free to explore Queenstown. Some may choose to walk through the Kiwi and Birdlife Park, which houses native birds and some endangered species. Others may opt to take a harbor cruise aboard the 104-year-old steamship TSS Earnslaw and enjoy a unique perspective of Queenstown s scenic beauty. Of course, the city also offers a wide variety of stores featuring handcrafted leather and woolen goods as well as greenstone jewelry. In the afternoon, we travel to the resort town of Wanaka, stopping first in Arrowtown, once the center of gold mining in New Zealand. In 1862, thousands of miners came to the Arrow River in search of gold, while today tourists flock to the town to discover unique stores, art studios, cafés, restaurants and pubs. B/D Sunday, November 4 Greymouth, New Zealand Today we drive along the west coast of the South Island, one of the most scenic roads in the world. With the Southern Alps serving as a backdrop, our route crosses the 1860-foot-high Haast Pass. This rugged stretch of road wasn t completed until The mountainous area north of Haast receives an astonishing 50 feet of snow per year and is home to around 140 glaciers. Two of these Fox Glacier and Franz Josef Glacier extend amazingly through a temperate rainforest to just 1000 feet above sea level. Nearby is Lake Matheson whose waters famously reflect New Zealand s highest peaks, Aoraki (Mount Cook) and Mount Tasman. After some stunning views and unforgettable scenery, we arrive in Greymouth, the largest city on the west coast. B/D Monday, November 5 Christchurch, New Zealand Another day of spectacular scenery awaits us as we traverse the Southern Alps heading to Christchurch. We drive through Arthur s Pass on the West Coast Road that was first used by Maori tribes crossing to the west coast to find jade. The road today is known for its magnificent scenery and unbelievable civil engineering, reminiscent of Switzerland. We later cross Porter s Pass, the highest point on the road with a height of 3100 feet. We arrive in Christchurch, the largest city on the South Island of New Zealand. Located on the banks of the Avon River, Christchurch is known for its strong British heritage. We enjoy a panoramic city tour before checking in at the hotel. B/D Tuesday, November 6 Melbourne, Australia This morning offers some free time to explore Christchurch. Some may want to take a short boat ride on the Avon River with a skilled punter in traditional Edwardian attire. Others may decide to visit the Arts Centre, a Gothic Revival building filled with shops, studios and art galleries. Another option is to visit the 500-acre Botanic Gardens to discover why Christchurch is often called the Garden City. In the afternoon, we board a flight bound for Melbourne, Australia. Shortly after arrival, we are treated to a special tour of Melbourne, as we glide along the streets while dining in a restored tramcar restaurant. B/D Wednesday, November 7 Melbourne, Australia This morning our guide takes us on a tour of Melbourne, the second-most populous city in Australia. Based on infrastructure, education, culture and other factors, Melbourne has often topped The Economist s list of the world s most livable cities. Our sightseeing includes Federation Square, St. Paul s Cathedral and Melbourne Town Hall, one of the grand buildings erected during the gold boom. After the tour, we enjoy some free time to explore the city on our own. Some may want to shop at the popular Bourke Street Mall or perhaps eat lunch at the Queen Victoria Market, the largest open-air market in the Southern hemisphere. In the afternoon, we drive south to Phillip Island where we first stop at the Koala Conservation Centre to view these adorable creatures up close. We take a virtual tour of Antarctica to learn more

3 about this extreme continent and later enjoy a BBQ dinner on-site. Finally, we are in for a treat as we witness the Penguin Parade. One of Australia s most popular attractions, we watch as the Little Penguins return ashore at sunset after a day s fishing and waddle up the beach to the safety of their homes in the sand dunes. B/D Thursday, November 8 Sydney, Australia This morning we board a flight bound for Sydney, Australia s largest city with a population of over 5 million inhabitants and site of the 2000 Summer Olympics. Shortly after arrival, we take a boat tour of Sydney Harbour, considered by many to be the most beautiful natural harbor in the world. Landmarks include the Royal Botanic Gardens, the towering Sydney Harbour Bridge and the iconic Sydney Opera House. After an exhilarating afternoon on the water, we check into our hotel. B/D Friday, November 9 Sydney, Australia Today we enjoy a tour of Australia s oldest city that was established in We learn more about the Sydney Opera House, the Coathanger, the locals nickname for the Sydney Harbour Bridge, and Sydney s historic area, The Rocks, that was once home to the aboriginal people. Other sights include the Romanesque-style Queen Victoria Building, the 1000-foot high Sydney Tower and bustling George Street, the oldest street in Australia. The afternoon is free to explore this vibrant city. Some may choose to walk along Sydney s famous beaches while others may opt to visit the Taronga Zoo with its collection of exotic wildlife. Another possibility is Kings Cross, Sydney s multi-faceted red light district filled with trendy cafés, shops and restaurants. Dinner is on our own this evening. B Saturday, November 10 Cairns, Australia After some free time in the morning, we fly to Cairns, considered the gateway to Queensland s tropical north. Upon arrival, we take a brief sightseeing tour of the city. Although Cairns has a fine historical museum and art gallery, the city is best known for its hotels, restaurants, weekend markets and beaches. Tonight, we dine in a local restaurant known for its fresh seafood. B/D Sunday, November 11 Cairns, Australia It s an early departure today as we drive to Port Arthur to board our luxury catamaran bound for the largest living thing on the planet: the Great Barrier Reef. Marine biologists accompany us and explain the unique coral reef ecosystem found in this wonder of nature. Snorkeling gear is provided at no charge to those who want to observe the fantastic coral formations teeming with colorful tropical fish and an abundance of exotic marine life. For those who prefer to stay dry, there are glass bottom boat tours and ample room to relax on the sun deck. A buffet lunch is provided. After an unforgettable day on the world s largest coral reef that is home to an amazing diversity of animal life, we arrive back at our hotel in the early evening and have dinner on our own. B/L Monday, November 12 Cairns, Australia This morning we board the Kuranda Scenic Railway in Cairns. Rising from sea level to 1075 feet, our 90-minute journey winds its way through World Heritage protected tropical rainforest, past thunderous waterfalls and the spectacular Barron Gorge. After some free time to explore Kuranda s many shops, we walk in the World Heritage Rainforest with a local guide. Along the way, we have the opportunity to see some of Australia s most iconic wildlife: dingoes, kangaroos, wallabies and koalas. The Aboriginal culture is also brought to life through dance and boomerang lessons, while some might even master the art of playing the didgeridoo. We return to Cairns via the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway. Sitting in comfortable six-person gondola cabins, we glide just feet above the rainforest canopy and become immersed in this tropical environment. We return to our hotel with time to relax before our farewell dinner. 4 Terms & Conditions All dates listed below refer to when items are to be received in CETA Tours office. Please plan accordingly. Payment Schedule $500 payment is due with your application. Second payment of $1,500 is due January 15, 2018 Third payment of $1,500 is due April 15, 2018 Final payment is due July 1, For groups with fewer than 12 paying participants, this payment schedule is subject to modification to cover additional costs if necessary. All personal checks, money orders or cashier s checks should be made payable to CETA Tours and will be deposited upon receipt. Credit cards are only accepted over the phone. We are unable to accept payments on our website. Federal law prohibits acceptance of post-dated checks. Late payments will incur a $25 fee. Returned checks will result in a $35 fee. Our website has a FAQ section designed to answer the most commonly asked questions about payments and cancellations. Cancellation Policy All cancellations must be in writing (letter, fax or ). After enrollment, cancellations up until July 1, 2018 incur a $125 administrative fee. From July 2, 2018 to 31 days prior to departure the cancellation penalty is $500 plus any non-recoverable expenses. Thirty days or less prior to departure, no refund is possible. Additional airline penalties may apply, depending on the date of cancellation. There is a $100 reinstatement fee to rejoin a tour after cancellation. For groups with fewer than 12 paying participants, this cancellation policy is subject to modification to cover additional expenses if necessary. Refunds are processed in 15 business days and issued to the person specified in the cancellation. If a refund is due, please allow approximately 15 business days for the refund to be processed. The refund will be issued to the person specified in the cancellation notification. If tour does not materialize due to lack of subscription, full refunds will be issued to those signed up at the time of tour cancellation. Tour Price Tour price is based on the cost of accommodations, admissions and the value of the dollar as of April 27, 2017 and is subject to change reflecting the dollar s value. Any final price adjustments, including those for currency or airfare (other than fuel surcharges), will be made by July 1, We reserve the right to assess surcharges such as airline imposed fuel surcharges whenever they are announced. Travel Insurance All participants are required to have valid medical insurance coverage for the duration of the tour. Regular trip cancellation, personal health and accident, and baggage insurance coverage is not included, but is recommended. Information about these types of insurance is on-line, will be sent upon receipt of the application and deposit, and is available for purchase through CETA Tours.

5 Air Transportation All air transportation is via a regularly scheduled air carrier. Airfare is based on special group ticket prices and current departure taxes and is subject to modification. Once ticketed, the air portion of the tour is an individual contract between the participant and the airline; therefore any flight changes due to delays will be handled by the airlines. Similarly, any restitution due to flight delays is solely at the discretion of the air carrier. The FAA requires all travelers to be aware of the hazardous materials restrictions: Extensions & Deviations Extensions and deviations may be available on a very limited basis and are subject to a $100 processing fee, plus any additional airfare costs. Deviations, once confirmed, are non-refundable. If the requested deviation is not possible within the group s airfare contract, a participant may choose to secure his/her own airfare and purchase a land-only package. The land-only price is applied to the participant s account upon receipt of the participant-arranged flight schedule. Land-only participants are responsible for securing and paying for all transfers required joining and/or leaving the group s itinerary. All deviations must be requested on the application. Responsibility Customized Educational Tour Arrangements Inc. (CETA), its officers, employees and any other representatives, including, but not limited to, tour leaders as well as the airlines concerned, shall not under any circumstances be liable under or by reason of this agreement directly or indirectly for any accident, injury, delay, damage, or inconvenience caused to the client by negligence of others, by malfunctions of transportation systems or equipment, by acts of God, by acts of war or rebellion, terrorism, strike, theft, or itinerary changes or cancellations; and we hereby release CETA Tours, Inc., its officers, employees, or other representatives from any and all such liability. Participant is responsible for any additional telephone, mini-bar or restaurant charges. Payment for any damages to hotel room or bus caused by participant s direct or indirect actions are the sole responsibility of him/her. Participants understand that touring can be physically demanding with up to 2-3 miles of walking on some days. Miscellaneous a. CETA, the group organizer(s) and tour leader(s) of the tour reserve the right to accept or retain any person as a member of the group at any time before or during the duration of the trip. b. We reserve the right to substitute points on the itinerary where conditions demand or warrant such substitution. c. Occasionally, the land portion of your trip may be extended or curtailed because of unforeseen changes in the transportation schedule. Any savings realized by these changes will be refunded to you upon your return. Similarly, any extra expenses incurred because of such changes must be at your expense. d. Participants on CETA tours may have their photo taken during tour. Participants agree that such photos may be used by CETA Tours on their website or other travel themed publications for promotional purposes. e. All participants must have a passport valid for six months beyond the return date of the tour. Participants who are not US citizens are responsible for securing any required entry visas. f. A rebooking or name change fee of $100 plus any additional charges by the airlines will apply to any changes to tickets that must be reissued due to name changes or corrections or circumstances that delay a traveler s departure. 8 This side to be filled out only by those requesting a deviation OR a land-only package. Deviation Request Form APPLICANT A DEVIATION is a customized return date on the air-portion of your tour. Deviation requests must be received in writing no later than 120 days prior to departure. Requests are processed on a first come, first served basis and participants are encouraged to submit requests as early as possible. Submitting a deviation request does not guarantee availability. All deviation requests are subject to the governing airline s rules and regulations regarding group air contracts. An airline may limit or deny a passenger s request to deviate from the group s flight itinerary. A representative from CETA Tours will contact you regarding the cost and flight schedule for your requested deviation. At that time, you may chose to confirm the deviation or cancel your request. All confirmed deviations will be assessed a $100 processing fee per passenger in addition to any airline imposed fees or surcharges. Once a deviation has been confirmed, it is non-refundable and non-transferable. Any further request to modify the deviation itinerary will be considered a new request and will result in an additional $100 fee plus any further airline imposed charges. All deviation fees will be added to the participant s invoice. Some deviation requests may require the purchase of an individual ticket. Individual tickets are non-refundable and full-payment is due at the time of purchase. This is in addition to normally scheduled payments to CETA Tours. CETA Tours is not responsible for providing accommodations, airport transportation or any other tour arrangements for passengers while traveling separately from the group. A LAND-ONLY package is when a traveler elects to make all of his/her own air arrangements. The traveler is responsible for notifying the group organizer that he/she will be arranging his/her own air transportation separate from the tour group and for providing the organizer with an up-to-date copy of his/her flight schedule. CETA Tours is not responsible for providing accommodations, airport transfers or any other tour arrangements for passengers while traveling separately from the group. Additionally, it is the traveler s responsibility to arrange to meet up with the tour; the tour group will not wait at the airport for travelers arriving separately from the group. Once a land-only traveler has secured his/her own air arrangements, he/she must submit a confirmed copy of the flight schedule in writing to CETA Tours.
