8 8 Spaces for hire Elvington Room This room is very versatile and ideally suited to private functions, presentations and corporate events. It is centrally heated and has independent toilet facilities. The room offers audio-visual facilities as well as WIFI access. The Elvington Room can be hired on its own during daytime with individual catering facilities or combined with the NAAFI Restaurant to accommodate evening events. NAAFI Restaurant At the heart of the Museum, the NAAFI restaurant is perfect for smaller evening functions for up to 150 guests. The NAAFI restaurant has a wartime ambience but with modern facilities and comfort. It provides a stunning and unique backdrop for any event. Astra Cinema Our Astra Cinema was recently refurbished and includes digital audio-visual projection screen technology. It provides comfortable Edwardian cinema seating for 42. Access is through our nationally acclaimed Bomber Command exhibition. Showground A large turfed lawn area, this is a flat showground space adjacent to the Canadian Memorial Hangar which can be hired either individually or as part of a package with the Hangar. It is ideally suited to marquees, parking or outdoor displays.

Essentially, we were looking for a unique venue that could accommodate a complex set of requirements for us to be confident that we could produce an event which met our objectives and exceed our customers expectations. We found in the Allied Air Forces Memorial & Yorkshire Air Museum, not only completely fl exible and inspiring event spaces, but also a team that took the time to understand our business and brand DNA.
