2 THE SUNSHINE COAST FALCONS The Sunshine Coast (SC) Falcons are the Sunshine Coast s premier sporting team and brand and are based at the multi-million dollar Sunshine Coast Stadium facility at Kawana. They field teams in the U18 s, U20 s and the flagship Intrust Super Cup (ISC) competition that is televised state wide by channel 9 every Sunday leading into the NRL match of the round. The ISC competition is played throughout Queensland and Papua New Guinea and is rated as the second tier to the National Rugby League (NRL). The SC Falcons enjoy a strong NRL feeder team relationship with the NRL powerhouse Melbourne Storm Football Cub which sees excess Melbourne Storm NRL players play for the Falcons each and every week of the ISC season. In 2016 the SC Falcons finished 3 rd out of the 14 team ISC competition which has helped to dramatically raise the community and corporate profile of the football club leading to increased home crowd attendance in 2016 and major increases in press coverage.
