The opening of Interfleet s Perth office will allow us to provide more efficient service and support for local clients by using Australian and international expertise from the freight, mining and passenger sectors. Our expanding portfolio of services will now encompass Strategic Asset Management; Power and Control Systems; and Track Services. In addition, Interfleet Transport Advisory has been created to provide strategic advice in the areas of transport planning, transformation and transaction. Jim Burke, Executive Vice President, SNC-Lavalin On Monday 3rd October 2011, Interfleet Holdings Ltd was acquired by SNC-Lavalin, following the completion of an international trade sale process. SNC-Lavalin is one of the world's leading engineering, procurement and construction organisations, serving many industry sectors and geographic markets. SNC-Lavalin has more than 25,000 staff, projects in over 100 countries, and is publicly traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX:SNC). Since its origins during the privatisation of the UK rail industry in 1996, Interfleet has grown from a single office in the UK and around 100 staff to more than 600 staff in 22 offices around the world including 70 in Australia and New Zealand. The Interfleet Board of Directors is committed to continuing this expansion; however such growth requires substantial financing. Over the years a number of financing options have been considered and the Board concluded that being acquired by SNC-Lavalin, a like-minded organisation, with similar values and possessing a far stronger balance sheet was the best way to deliver future growth and development of the company. Interfleet and SNC-Lavalin have a complementary geographical reach and our company cultures and respective strategic plans are aligned, meaning that there is an excellent fit between the two organisations. Together we will be able to provide an even wider range of resources, capabilities and services to our clients in future. We would like to reassure all our valued clients, that it will be very much business as usual going forward. SNC-Lavalin operates in a decentralised manner, meaning that Interfleet will continue to operate as a business very much as we do now. Now, as a free-standing entity within SNC-Lavalin Infrastructure & Environment division, you will start to see us refer to ourselves as Interfleet Technology, a Member of the SNC-Lavalin Group. Our business processes will remain the same in terms of contracting and invoicing and we will be continuing to improve our client service quality even further.

3 Interfleet expands to Western Australia Interfleet continues to expand its Australian operations and is pleased to announce the establishment of a new office in Perth, Western Australia in early September. Ross Twyford has been appointed as State Manager Western Australia. Since 2006, Ross has been responsible for Interfleet s operations in New Zealand and has now relocated to Perth where he will be providing the same high quality consultancy services to clients in the WA region. Ross has over 17 years international experience in railway engineering, specialising in railway operations, network simulation, passenger and freight vehicles, rolling stock maintenance and maintenance depots. Previous to his role as State Manager Western Australia, Ross spent 6 years establishing Interfleet s highly successful New Zealand business, which has offices in Wellington and Auckland. Ross moved to New Zealand from Interfleet s London office where he worked as a Principal Consultant, primarily with UK Train Operating companies in major franchising, rolling stock procurement and refurbishment roles. Prior to that Ross held several leadership and senior management roles in a 9 year career with London Underground. Interfleet is committed to enhancing its clients business success and the new Perth office will provide the opportunity for the company to involve itself further in the local rail industry, gain a deeper understanding of the real issues being faced and deliver projects using local resources to meet the tight timescales that the industry demands. Adam joined Interfleet in 2007 as member of the Queensland team based in Brisbane. Following a secondment across the Tasman, he relocated to Interfleet s Wellington office in 2008 where he has been involved in a number of high profile projects, including the procurement of new EMU fleets for Wellington and Auckland. In 2010 he moved to manage the establishment of the second New Zealand office in Auckland and continues to be involved in projects in both cities, although he and his family now call Wellington home again. Adam is a mechanical engineer and project manager with extensive railway industry experience in Europe, Australasia and Asia gained through a variety of roles involving railway engineering, new fleet procurement, asset management, leasing, railway operations and the management of maintenance, refurbishment and upgrade projects. Interfleet continues to play a key role in New Zealand working with its local clients to ensure successful outcomes on a wide range of projects including rolling stock procurement, safety and risk management, complex vehicle modelling and railway operations. Adam Christian comments: Interfleet has a strong presence in New Zealand and I am eager to build upon the successes that we have had over the past 6 years during Ross tenure. Phil has transferred from Interfleet s UK Office. Having held a number of senior positions at Amey, AMEC and Network Rail - and managing director of consultancy Cambrian Co Phil Ransom brings over 35 years rail sector experience to Interfleet. With a specialist knowledge-base of track engineering, inspection, maintenance, renewals and enhancement; Phil will be responsible for managing all aspects of Interfleet s business in South Australia, with a particular focus on meeting our Client s needs. He takes over from David Anderson, who is moving into Interfleet s Strategic Asset Management team. Jason is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer and railway professional with 20 years experience in the both UK and Australian rail markets and he has held a number of senior management positions in railway project and operating environments. He has previously been a Professional Head of Engineering for a UK train operating company, played a key role in a flagship UK train fleet performance improvement program and has managed the technical delivery of new passenger rolling stock onto the NSW network. Jason previously led Interfleet s Passenger Rolling Stock Business Team delivering passenger rolling stock consultancy services across Australia and more recently he has worked for RailCorp in NSW on an ATP implementation project. His mix of technical and commercial experience complements Interfleet s approach to delivering successful outcomes for our clients and Jason will build on Interfleet s existing contribution to the rail industry in Victoria.
