3 Summary information Repository: Title: Nova Scotia Archives ID: Date: Physical description: Dates of creation, revision and deletion: (date of creation) 78 cm of textual records and other material Administrative history / Biographical sketch Note David Garfield Jamieson, son of Archie and Edna (Peitzsche) Jamieson, was born on 29 December He lived in Montana and Nova Scotia before moving to Medicine Hat, Alberta in He works as a realtor in the city and served on the Board of Directors of the Medalta and Hycroft Pottery for 17 years. He has received various awards for his community involvements. His keen interest in history has led to a series of publications on the history of mining in Nova Scotia entitled The Gold Seekers. Scope and content Collection consists of textual records, cartographic records, photographs and sound recordings either collected or created and accumulated by Jamieson. The contents of the collection document the history of mining on the Eastern Shore of Nova Scotia in both Halifax and Guysborough Counties through correspondence, images, and first person interviews.
