The service supports people with a disability to have the opportunity to engage in community-based activities and life skill development. The location provides an array of choices including gardening at the Eastbank Edible Garden, water sports on Lake Kawana, and access to other community organisations. These lead to greater social inclusion, boosting self-esteem and confidence. Kawana Waters Learning & Lifestyle offers opportunities for people to be part of the everyday community. This is because Endeavour Foundation recognises the importance of people with a disability being included in all aspects of life. Living with greater choice Endeavour Foundation s $1.1 million housing development in Cairns is part of our At Home With Choices construction program. The two self-funded houses accommodate four tenants in each, which means that people with a disability have greater choice about where, with whom, and how they live. The modern, spacious homes have assistive technologies, leading to opportunities for independent living skill development within a supportive environment.
