6 Impact Factor Impact factor (popularity score): The impact factor (IF) of an academic journal is a measure reflecbng the yearly average number of citabons to recent arbcles published in that journal. It is frequently used as a proxy for the relabve importance of a journal within its field, with journals with higher impact factors deemed to be more important than those with lower ones. X year s impact factor=(citabons of papers published in (X- 1) and (X- 2))/total number of papers of citable papers published in (X- 1) and (X- 2). 5- year impact factor (popularity score): five year instead of 2 years.

7 ISI Other Metrics Eigenfactor (presbge score): a rabng of the total importance of a scienbfic journal. Journals are rated according to the number of incoming citabons, with citabons from highly ranked journals weighted to make a larger contribubon to the eigenfactor than those from poorly ranked journals ArBcle Influence (presbge score): calculated by dividing the Eigenfactor by the percentage of all arbcles recorded in the Journal CitaBon Reports that were published in a specific journal. The ArBcle Influence score measures the average influence per arbcle of the papers in a journal.
