2 Canadian Passenger Tariff No. 1-A 2nd Revised Page B-5 SECTION B RULES AND REGULATIONS GOVERNING THE TRANSPORTATION OF PASSENGERS RULE 4: STOP-OVERS Stop-overs, within the limits of ticket (or extension thereof), will be permitted at any point on the lines of the Carriers, parties thereto, upon application to an agent or driver. Proper notations must be made on, or coupons added to, the ticket by such agent or driver. (See exceptions below). EXCEPTION 1: Stop-Overs will be permitted within the Province of Ontario, Canada, only in accordance with the privileges of the local permit rights of Carriers in that province. (New) EXCEPTION 2: For account of Saskatchewan Transportation Company (SAS), stop-overs will not be permitted on optional routing except when required due to scheduling (See Rule 14). RULE 5 : RESERVATIONS (1) Reservation of seats or berths or other special accommodations will not be made except as specifically provided in Rules and Regulations published in lawful Tariffs of the Carriers offering such services. (2) The Carriers reserve to themselves full control and discretion as to seating of passengers and reserve the right of change such seating at any time during the trip; provided however, that seating arrangements will be made without regard to race, color, creed, or national origin. (3) The Carriers reserve the right, whenever operating conditions require, to transfer passengers from one vehicle to another enroute. (4) Seat space cannot be guaranteed on stop-over privileges or on sale of tickets at intermediate points and is subject to the limitations of seating capacity of motor coach passing through such points. (5) In case of insufficient seating capacity of any schedule, passengers will be placed on succeeding schedules having available space. RULE 6: LIABILITY ANot applicable for Grey Goose Bus Lines (GG), Greyhound Canada Transportation Corp. (GLL), or Voyageur Corp (VOY) (See Rule 6.1) (1) Except as responsibility may be imposed by law, Carriers will not be liable for delays caused by accidents, breakdowns, bad conditions of the road, snow storms and other conditions beyond their control, and do not guarantee to arrive at or depart from any point at a specific time. The time of arrival at and departure from any point shown in their published Time Schedules is the schedule they endeavor to maintain, but same is not guaranteed. (2) Except as responsibility may be imposed by law, Carriers will not be responsible for lost or stolen tickets. (4) In issuing Tickets and Checking Baggage under authority of Tariffs subject hereto, for passage over the lines of other Carriers participating in such Tariffs, the Issuing Carriers shown in such Tariff act only as agents and do not assume responsibility for transportation over the lines of other Carriers, except as responsibility may be imposed by law with respect to Baggage. In the sale of interline, through transportation of passengers across International Border Lines, the Initial Carrier assumes no liability for the transportation by, or the acts and neglects of, other Carriers, beyond such International RULE 6-A LIABILITY Applicable for Grey Goose Bus Lines (GG), Greyhound Canada Transportation Corp. RULE 7 SEASONAL OPERATIONS Operations via some routes and to some destinations are seasonal in character and are subject to road and weather conditions. 4 Canadian Passenger Tariff No. 1-A 1st Revised Page B-6 SECTION B RULES AND REGULATIONS GOVERNING THE TRANSPORTATION OF PASSENGERS RULE 8 OBJECTIONABLE PERSONS Not applicable for Grey Goose Bus Lines (GG), Greyhound Canada Transportation Corp. (GLL), or Voyageur Corp (VOY) (See Rule 8.1) Carriers reserve the right to refuse to transport a person under the influence of intoxicating liquor or drugs, or who is incapable of taking care of himself or herself, or whose conduct is such or is likely to be such as to make him or her objectionable to other passengers or prospective passengers, or who refuses to comply with any lawful rule or regulation of the Carrier. Such persons may be removed from the bus at any usual stopping place or at such other places as the driver may select. In the event of such removal, the liability of the Carrier shall not exceed the amount of the excess fare paid by the passenger. EXCEPTION -- This Rule does not apply to persons who are ill and accompanied by an attendant or a nurse or to a disabled person, unless he/she self-identifies themselves as needing a service normally performed by an attendant, as outlined in Rule 18, in which case carriage will be permitted provided that the disabled person is accompanied by an RULE 8.1 PASSENGER SCREENING / OBJECTIONABLE PERSONS Applicable for Grey Goose Bus Lines (GG), Greyhound Canada Transportation Corp. (GLL), or Voyageur Corp (VOY) As a condition of travel, passengers may be required to undergo a search or screening of their person or baggage for the presence of items that the Carriers have banned or restricted from carriage. Any person who does not consent to the search or screening or is in possession of such prohibited items will not be permitted to travel and will have his/her ticket refunded. Carriers reserve the right to refuse to transport a person who appears to be under the influence of intoxicating liquor or drugs, or who may be incapable of taking care of himself or herself, or whose conduct is such or is likely to be such as to make him or her objectionable to other passengers or prospective passengers, or who is indecent, offensive, threatening or agressive or who refuses to comply with any lawful rule or regulation of the Carrier. Such persons may be removed from the bus at any schedule stop or at such other places as the driver may select. In the event of such removal, the liability of the Carrier shall not exceed the amount of the excess fare paid (less 15% per the Refund Policy) by the passenger. EXCEPTION -- This Rule does not apply to persons who are ill and accompanied by an attendant or a nurse or to a disabled person, unless he/she self- identifies themselves as needing a service normally performed by an attendant, as outlined in Rule 18, in which case carriage will be permitted provided that the disabled person is accompanied by an attendant. 5 NATIONAL BUS TRAFFIC ASSOCIATION, INC., AGENT Canadian Passenger Tariff No. 1-A 2nd Revised Page B-7 SECTION B RULES AND REGULATIONS GOVERNING THE TRANSPORTATION OF PASSENGERS RULE 9: ANIMALS SNot applicable for Grey Goose Bus Lines (GG), Greyhound Canada Transportation Corp.(GLL), or Voyageur Corp (VOY) (See Rule 9.1) (1) Dogs, cats, birds or other animals will NOT be transported, except as provided in Paragraph (2) hereof; (2) A dog, trained for the purpose of and accompanying a blind person who pays the standard fare and is not accompanied by a guide, will be carried free of charge. Such dog must be properly harnessed and must lie or stand at the feet of its RULE 9.1 ANIMALS Applicable for Grey Goose Bus Lines (GG), Greyhound Canada Transportation Corp. (GLL), or Voyageur Corp (VOY) (1) Dogs, cats, birds or other animals will NOT be transported, except as provided below. (2) A service animal trained for the purpose of and accompanying a blind person or hearing person (paying regular fare) and either accompanied by a seeing attendant or not will be carried free of charge. Such service animal must be properly harnessed and must lie or stand at the feet of its master. A "Service Aniaml" is an animal that is required by a person with a disability for assistance and is certified, in writing, as having been trained to assist a person with a disability by a professional service animal institution. RULE 10 : BAGGAGE (see Section C) RULE 11 : EXCLUSIVE OCCUPANCY OF COACHES (Not Applicable for account of Saskatchewan Transportation Company (SAS). Upon payment of a Minimum Charge equivalent to 32 Regular Adult Fares per coach requested or required, the Carriers parties hereto will grant exclusive occupancy of a coach to any group moving between any two points where the One-Way Adult Fare is $10.00 or more, regardless of whether a group qualifies for exclusive occupancy via other Carriers, and subject to the availability of equipment, as follows: (1) With or without advance notice for movements locally between points on the lines of one carrier. (2) Twenty-four hours advance notice must be given to the originating carrier for interline movements via the lines of 2 or more Carriers parties hereto. (3) Two Half-Fares will be considered the equivalent of one Adult Fare. (4) Under this Rule, carriers will pickup or discharge passengers at any point within the corporate limits of the Point of Origin or Destination, which they are authorized to serve. RULE 12: OPTIONAL HONORING OF TICKETS All classes of tickets good for passage between Moose Jaw and Regina, SK and North Battleford and Saskatoon, SK, will be optionally honored by EITHER Greyhound Canada Transportation Corp. or Saskatchewan Transportation Company. 6 Canadian Passenger Tariff No. 1-A 1st Revised Page C-1 BAGGAGE RULES, SECTION C REGULATIONS AND CHARGES RULE I APPLICATION Except as otherwise specifically provided herein, the Rules, Regulations, Rates and Charges published in this Section apply to the Transportation, Storage or Parcel Checking of baggage, and other articles, as specified and defined in Rule 2, in connection with valid transportation sold over the lines of Carriers party to this Tariff. RULE 2 BAGGAGE DEFINED SNot applicable for Grey Goose Bus Lines (GG), Greyhound Canada Transportation Corp. (GLL), or Voyageur Corp (VOY) (See Rule 2.1) (1) All Baggage transported in Baggage Service, unless otherwise provided, must be enclosed in receptacles, such as trunks (see exception below), valises, telescopes, suitcases, leather hat boxes, satchels or other containers specifically authorized in this Rule, which are provided with handles, securely locked, or otherwise fastened, and made of a material of sufficient strength and durability and of a quality sufficient to withstand the handling and piling incident to its transportation in Regular Baggage Service. (2) All Baggage transported in Baggage Service must have a "Luggage Identification Tag" attached showing the Passenger ' s "Destination " and "Name". The owner' s name and complete permanent address should be contained inside each piece of Baggage. (3) Baggage may be defined as either "personal" or "sample", as follows: (a) Personal Baggage consists of wearing apparel, toilet articles (except liquids), and similar personal effects, which are in actual use, and which are necessary and appropriate for the wear, use, comfort and convenience of the passenger, for the purpose of the journey, and which are not intended for use by other persons, nor for sale, but does not include or consist of any of the articles specifically prohibited herein. (See Rule 3 for Prohibited Articles.) (b) Sample Baggage consists of property for the commercial (as distinguished from the personal) use of the passenger, and is restricted to catalogues, models and samples of goods, wares or merchandise, tendered by the passenger for transportation in Regular Baggage Service, for use by him in making sales or other disposition of the goods, wares or merchandise represented thereby, but does not include or consist of any of the articles specifically prohibited herein. (See Rule 3 for Prohibited Articles). OTHER ARTICLES WHICH MAY BE HANDLED IN BAGGAGE SERVICE (4) Except as otherwise specifically shown, Personal or Sample Baggage may also contain, include or consist of the articles enumerated in this Rule, if such are not intended for other persons, nor for sale. Such articles may be accepted for transportation in Regular Baggage Service, subject to the limitations as to size, weight and value named herein, and subject to further conditions of acceptance as shown in connection with each article, when owner is a passenger presenting valid transportation. Braille note-taker, slate & Stylus, augmentation devices Diabetes Related Supplies / Equipment: (Once inspected to ensure prohibited items are not concealed) including: Insulin & insulin loaded dispensing products; vials or box of individual vials; jet injectors; pens; infusers & preloaded syringes; an unlimited number of unused syringes, when accompanied by insulin; lancets; blood glucose meters & it's test strips; insulin pumps & it's supplies. Insulin in any form or dispenser must be properly marked with a professionally printed label identifying the medication or manufacturer's name or pharmaceutical label. Cylinders to be no larger than 12 centimeters (4.5 inches) in diameter & 66 centimeters (26 inches) in length. Maximum total oxygen load per motorcoach may NOT exceed 99 Lbs. Wheelchairs with non-spillable batteries which can be loaded in the baggage compartment, provided that the battery is securely attached to the wheelchair. Wheelcairs with spillable batteries provided that the wheelchair can be loaded, stowed, secured and unloaded always in an upright position and that the battery is disconnected, the battery terminals are insulated to prevent accidental short circuits and the battery must be removed and the wheelchair may then be carried as tagged baggage without restriction. The removed battery must be carried in strong, rigid packaging as follows: packages must be leak-tight, impervious to battery fluid and be protected against upset by securing them to pallets or securing them in cargo compartments using appropriate means of securement (other than by bracing with freight or baggage) such as by use of restraining straps, brackets or holders. Batteries must be protected against short circuits, secured upright in packaging and surrounded by compatible absorbent material sufficient to absort their total liquid contents, and these packages must be marked "Battery, wet, with wheelchair" and be labelled with the Corrosive label and with the package orientation (This Way Up) labeled.
