In anticipation of a larger than normal number of aircraft operating to and from Missoula International irport in conjunction with the OP Fly-In, the following procedures will be used to enhance safety and minimize delays. Continue inbound from lberton or if traffic volume requires holding, follow instructions from Missoula Tower on and expect to fly the hold procedure as depicted in the LBERTON VFR HOLD RPHIC. ll aircraft should fly right turns at 7500 feet MSL. Eastbound aircraft remain over or north of Interstate 90. Westbound aircraft remain south of Interstate 90. When Missoula Tower announces that holding is no longer necessary, aircraft should proceed inbound following Interstate 90 toward Missoula International irport (MSO). Begin descent as directed by TC or at pilot s discretion. ircraft westbound in the hold should complete the hold before proceeding inbound toward MSO. CUTION: Stay alert for hang gliding and paragliding activity at Martel Mountain near the town of Tarkio. ircraft should be at or below 5500 feet MSL prior to reaching Huson and should remain south of Interstate 90 to avoid possible aircraft on the ILS approach to runway 12. Follow landing instructions from Missoula Tower on MSO TP: 4200 feet MSL light aircraft; 4700 feet MSL multiengine/turbine aircraft fter landing, do not stop on the runway unless necessary. Exit the runway as quickly and as safely as possible at the first available taxiway. Continue far enough forward so as not to block subsequent arrivals. Remain east of US-93 while in the hold between Florence and Stevensville. 13 IFR DELYS There is no Special Traffic Management Program for this event. No arrival or departure reservations are required. IFR separation requirements may cause delays when arrival rates exceed airport capacity. Pilots on an IFR flight plan should be prepared for potential holding. IFR flight plans to Missoula International irport should be filed at least 2 hours prior to proposed departure time. VFR flight on designated arrival routes is highly recommended if practical. HELICOPTER OPERTIONS Helicopters are not expected to fly the special VFR rrival Procedures. When inbound, contact Missoula Tower on as soon as practical for specific instructions. CUSTOMS ND IMMIRTION There is no Customs and Immigration at Missoula International irport. Private aircraft entering the United States should make their first landing: at a designated international airport (see ); at a landing rights airport if permission to land has been granted (see ); or at a designated user fee airport if permission to land has been granted (see ). The closest airports with CBP services are reat Falls International irport (TF), lacier Park International irport (PI), Helena Regional irport (HLN), and Bert Mooney (BTM). If you plan to stop at one of these airports make sure to check for availability of services at the U.S. Customs and Border Protection website. See the list of airports where CBP inspection services are normally available. TEMPORRY IRPORT CLOSURE/ STOL DEMONSTRTION There will be an STOL demonstration between 12:45 PM MDT 2:15 PM MDT on Saturday, June 16, 2018 during the OP Fly-in. rrivals and departures will be stopped for the duration of the demonstration. Please plan accordingly. LOCL TRININ ND PRCTICE PPROCHES Local traffic pattern, closed traffic training, and practice instrument approaches will not be available at Missoula International irport (MSO) during the OP Fly-In. NO RDIO IRCRFT Due to high density traffic, aircraft operations without a radio are not recommended. STUDENT PILOTS Due to high density traffic, solo student pilot operations are not recommended. CUTIONS Possible lengthy delays associated with heavy arrival and departure times. Heavy arrivals expected 8:00 M MDT 11:00 M MDT Friday and Saturday. Heavy departures expected 3:00 PM MDT 6:00 PM MDT on Saturday. Rising terrain all quadrants. Radio communications can be poor in some areas below the recommended altitudes. It is important to remain at or above suggested altitudes. Intensive hang gliding and paragliding activity southeast of the airport near East Missoula from Mount Jumbo and Mount Sentinel. Marshallers will be assisting aircraft to and from parking areas and run-up areas. For safety reasons, high RPM engine running is prohibited in designated parking areas. For departure, it is recommended that pilots conduct their run-up procedures in queue if practical. Please review the parking map prior to landing and departing. VEHICULR TRFFIC Vehicles are not allowed on ramps except those belonging to airport operators and tenants. PREFLIHT PLNNIN Please ensure that you have reviewed the special flight information, departure procedures, and temporary taxi procedures prior to engine start. High density traffic is expected Friday and Saturday morning. Consider arriving during off-peak hours. 13

Follow marshallers instructions to taxi to the nearest designated IFR departure holding area. IFR departures should obtain a clearance from Missoula Clearance on DO NOT CONTCT MISSOUL ROUND ON UNTIL YOU RE PREPRED TO DEPRT. VFR DEPRTURES VFR Flight Following: Pilots wanting VFR flightfollowing should make the request to the appropriate TC facility when clear of Missoula International irport Class D airspace. VFR Traffic dvisories/flight Following will be provided on a workload-permitting basis only. Prior to start-up Please ensure that you have reviewed the special flight information, departure procedures, and temporary taxi procedures prior to engine start. Check TIS on Engine start Locate a marshaller to monitor engine start. Departing runway 30 Northbound departures expect a right turn after take-off. Eastbound departures expect a right turn after take-off and follow US-90 east. Southbound departures expect a left turn after take-off and then direct to Lolo. Westbound departures expect to depart straight out with an offset south of the centerline to avoid departing jet traffic. Departing runway 12 Northbound departures expect a left turn after take-off. Eastbound departures expect a slight left turn after take-off and follow US-90 east. Southbound departures expect a right turn after take-off staying west of the MSO 155 radial to avoid departing jet traffic. Westbound departures expect a right turn after take-off for a downwind departure. Run-up If practical, it is recommended that you conduct your run-up while in queue for departure. Please consider propeller blast during your run-up. Taxi Follow instructions from marshallers and contact Missoula round on when number 1 to enter Taxiway. (DO NOT CONTCT MISSOUL ROUND UNTIL YOU RE NUMBER 1 TO ENTER TXIWY (MOVEMENT RE). MONITOR ROUND on during taxi and be prepared for immediate departure when number one for take-off.
