We place emphasis on flying sensors with impressive technical specifications but strive to deliver customer solutions using refined data-capture techniques and skilled individuals. Utilizing either full-frame or medium format sensors, complete structure inspections can be captured in only a few images. For both photogrammetry and inspection flights, imagery is geotagged via onboard inertial measurement units and GPS receivers. Collecting 250,000 data points per second, Riegl s VUX-1 LiDAR offers centimeter grade accuracy while mapping through dense vegetation. Paired with our Vapor 55, the VUX-1 is capable of mapping 650 acres in one hour of flying. Versatility in payload mounting allows PAU to fly emergency response payloads or specialty sensors. Our payload integration capabilities allow clients to think outside the box.

PAU Headquarters also serves as a flight operations center for both extended and beyond line of sight operations around the United States. Phoenix Air Unmanned Training and Evaluation Center Located five miles east of the Cartersville-Bartow County Airport in Cartersville, Georgia, the Phoenix Air Unmanned Training & Evaluation Center (PAUTEC) is a multi-use UAS flight facility. The site features 20 acres of flight area, including a classroom, electrical access, and open-air awning. Ideal for testing and training, several utility structures have been installed on-site to develop best practices and proper data capture techniques. PAUTEC regularly hosts UAS manufacturers and educational demonstrations.

5 GROUND SUPPORT Phoenix Air Unmanned crews mobilize for the field in a variety of ways. Operations are supported by a fleet of specialized vehicles or, when time is of the essence, the fixed-wing assets of Phoenix Air Group, Inc. All PAU vehicles are equipped with four-wheel drive to face challenging areas of operation. To maintain operational efficiency, each vehicle is outfitted to minimize its footprint and stay ready for transit to the next location. Based in Cartersville, Georgia, Phoenix Air Unmanned vehicles are dispatched for flight operations nationwide. The fleet is designed to support aircraft maintenance and ensure operation success.
