Curriculum Guide Electrical Interface (40 Hours) This course is a combination of refresher, in-depth troubleshooting practices, and tracing wiring diagrams. Global Jet Services employs a white glove approach where the majority of investigative work can be performed without using tools. Troubleshooting is performed from the cockpit level, using indication messages, support documentation, and wiring diagrams. This is an intensive session with active classroom participation and considered an essential course for all proactive technicians. Differences (40 Hours) Aircraft differences courses offer a sharply focused, detail oriented comparison of similar aircraft models that require separate type ratings. The focus is on the systems that are significantly different between two aircraft models that otherwise share a large portion of other main, common systems. The emphasis is on building upon what the student already knows about a particular aircraft model and filling the gaps relating to the new model. This comprehensive class is the ideal way to introduce your technicians to the aircraft within your fleet. Refresher (40 Hours) Our refresher course is an excellent option where the course agenda can be customized to meet your needs. We will work with the customer to focus on select systems that meet your specific training criteria. Generalization / Familiarization (40 Hours) This 5-day maintenance course will help technicians understand the aircraft systems, servicing, and practical know-how to maintain the aircraft properly. These courses also dedicate a majority of time toward an applied approach to aircraft maintenance. The refresher classes offer premium value for operations with cost or scheduling constraints. The course is for the technician who has similar aircraft experience and also for the manager or scheduler who wants a better understanding of the aircraft. If the aircraft is available, actual hands-on practices will be conducted to ensure a complete understanding of aircraft systems and real-world maintenance practices. The Generalization / Familiarization class offers an excellent way to extend technician productivity. 4

Curriculum Guide Engine Run (8 Hours / 16 Hours) This course provides designated technicians with the necessary procedures and practices to perform a successful engine run session. Our course combines both classroom theoretical instruction with practical, applied interaction with the facility s aircraft. This economical alternative to costly, limitedaccess, simulator training will enable the technicians to quickly become productive with valuable knowledge in this critical area. A 2-day course is necessary for those students who have never taken the GJS Initial level course for the aircraft. Essentials of Troubleshooting (8 Hours) This course describes and explains a four step troubleshooting process plan with the use of instructional exercises in a classroom setting. You will discuss how to clearly understand the problem, including good debriefing techniques, develop an action plan including the use of troubleshooting charts and fault isolation manuals, then check critical paths with the use of schematics and meters. Following this analysis, the resolution or repair process is presented. By combining or integrating this course with an aircraft refresher class, it enables the student to practice these process techniques using your specific aircraft type. T-62T-39/T-62T-40 Turbomach / Sundstrand APU Line Maintenance (12 Hours) This course will supplement the student s understanding of the APS 500 auxiliary power unit found in several aircraft currently taught by Global Jet Services for maintenance training purposes and included in AMM ATA 49. We cover different types of electrical wires and cables; cutting, stripping, crimping, soldering, and tying; installation issues such as segregation, tiewrapping and chaffing problems. The class also includes: Nomenclature breakdown, deciphering, and labeling Wiring and connector type identification Aviation harness fabrication and installation requirements New 14 CFR Part 121 regulations require significant Electrical Wiring Interconnect Systems (EWIS) training for all Technicians and Inspectors. The guidance used to identify and meet these training needs is contained in FAA Advisory Circular (AC) This course addresses EWIS compliance concerns for Group 1 (Maintenance Personnel-Repairs), Group 2 (Inspection Personnel), and Group 4 (Maintainers-removal & installation of equipment). We also discuss contemporary incidents, their causes, and the appropriate prevention. Each classroom is fully equipped and stocked with practice materials and standard tools used in the wiring installation and repair environment, as students will complete specific lab exercises as directed by the instructor. Any relevant in-house tooling and supplies may be brought into the training session for evaluation and classroom use. 14

Curriculum Guide SAFETY PROGRAMS Operational Safety should be everyone s concern especially in the aviation industry. Your organization needs to become familiar with federal safety guidelines as they apply to your operation. Following acceptable safety practices is no longer enough for those that desire to take a leadership position. A comprehensive safety program should be an integral part of how you run your business and help maintain that edge. OSHA / EPA Training Program for the Aviation Professional (16 Hours) This course addresses the subjects necessary to satisfy the instructional requirements indicated in 14 CFR Part 145 for employees, supervisors, and managers to become familiar with good shop safety practices as pertaining to OSHA and EPA requirements. In this course we are going to examine, discuss, and review: The requirements of OSHA and EPA programs and their reporting mandates General good practices and shop safety Non-pollutant work practices that meet EPA requirements 22

SAFETY PROGRAMS (continued) Human Factors in Aviation (16 Hours) Air travel is considered one of the safest means of transportation in the world today. Quite often, as we examine the cause of an accident, we find a set of simple human errors ( chain of events ) have combined to create the episode. Maintenance errors can play a key role in that chain of events in approximately ten percent of accidents. If we can break the chain of events at the maintenance level, the accident can be prevented. Using this course, we model the thought process of an aviation technician to pinpoint the decision that gave rise to the maintenance error. Ultimately, the reduction of accidents by technicians will improve the overall business environment, and the whole aviation industry will benefit. Several notable case studies are included to illustrate and emphasize the impact of how seemingly small failures in routine maintenance can produce some serious results. A partial outline of this crucial subject includes: Importance of Human Factors in aviation The Dirty Dozen (12 sources of faults in safety) Case studies & analysis A 1-day Refresher class is available for those graduates wishing to further strengthen their skillsets. 23

Curriculum Guide Aviation Safety Management Systems (SMS) (16 Hours) The objective of this course is to familiarize students with the benefits of aviation Safety Management Systems (SMS) and to continue to raise awareness of potential safety issues. This SMS class will provide guidance material for the aviation manager, chief pilot, chief of maintenance, chief inspectors, quality managers, line supervisors, and others within the corporate aircraft flight department, or the maintenance repair station environment. It will provide the basic framework for implementing and maintaining an organizational safety culture. For those that have adopted SMS into their business practices, the establishment of a safety management system has been shown to be the single most significant event to make aviation safer while making aviation maintenance organizations more profitable. This course will address: Aviation safety -overview & history Economic impacts of SMS SMS fundamentals Management support & company culture Roles & responsibilities Operational risk management (ORM) Advisory Circulars; sample worksheets; checklists 24

SAFETY PROGRAMS (continued) Federal Aviation Regulation: Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations (FAR) (16 Hours) This course is designed as an overview of selected, applicable sections of the Federal Aviation Regulations (CFR Title 14) as they relate to the responsibilities of Aviation Maintenance Technicians (AMTs) and associated aviation support personnel. The course is taught with a basic premise of how the FAR affects a technician, who within the organization may also be affected, how to comply with the FAR, and the consequences for non-compliance. This is a very interactive class with informative discussions on the interpretation of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs). Our FAR course will provide insights into these areas of aviation codes and regulations: Understanding regulations Definitions Airworthiness directives Maintenance (Part 43) Licensing (Part 65) Flight department operations (Part 91) Commercial operators (Part 125) Chartered services (Part 135) Repair stations (Part 145) Advisory circulars 25
