3 NAVIGATION AIR DATA SYSTEM NEW ROUTING FOR A LINE 1. PLANNING INFORMATION A. EFFECTIVITY This Service Bulletin is applicable to aircraft serial numbers 1 through 22 and 24. It covers DASSAULT AVIATION modification F900EX M2636 which has been approved under the authority of DGAC Design Organization Approval No. F.JA.03. B. REASON The purpose of this Service Bulletin is to avoid damage to an air data system line located near the CDU rack upon removal/installation of CDU 1 (L2RJ) by modifying the routing of this line. C. DESCRIPTION The operation consists of replacing in the cockpit pedestal (See figure 1). an air data line and a connector support with new ones, on aircraft serial numbers 1 through 17, For aircraft serial numbers 18 through 22 and 24, replace only the connector support (with new one only). D. COMPLIANCE Recommended. E. APPROVAL The technical information contained in this document has been approved under the authority of DGAC Design Organization Approval no F.JA. 03. F. MANPOWER Estimated manhours: 3 hours (Support/line change). 4 hours (Removal/installation for access). NOTE: These manhours only concern the work described in this Service Bulletin and do not include other maintenance work which may be performed on this occasion. Initial issuance Page 1

5 2. ACCOMPLISHMENT INSTRUCTIONS A. PRELIMINARY STEPS (1) Aircraft on wheels, battery switches OFF, no ground power unit connected to the aircraft. (2) Nose landing gear well ceiling door (110AZ) opened (Maintenance Manual, procedure ). (3) Pilot seat removed. B. GENERAL INSTRUCTION During the modification, every precaution should be taken to prevent any filings or chips from falling into or around the equipment. C. PROCEDURE (1) Remove floor panel (113BZ) (Maintenance Manual, chap , fig. 7). (2) Remove side cover (221AZ) from cockpit pedestal on pilot s side (Maintenance Manual, chap , fig. 8). (3) Remove the cover between frame 0 and the cockpit pedestal, which is an extension of cover (221AZ). (4) Remove CDU 1 (L2RJ). Referring to figure 2: (5) Disconnect connectors (L109P and R109P). (6) Remove and retain the attaching parts of connectors (L109J and R109J). (7) Remove and discard the existing connector support. (8) For aircraft serial numbers 1 through 17, remove and discard the existing air data line (IPC, chap , fig. 30, item 210) and install the new line. Referring to figure 3: (9) Install clamp (item 3) on the line. (10) Position new support (item 1), then mark and drill the three attaching holes to a diameter of 0.13 in (3.3 mm) in accordance with the existing holes. (11) Attach the support with rivets (item 2). Initial issuance Page 3

6 (12) Attach the line retaining clamp to the support with screw (item 4), washer (item 5) and nut (item 6). (13) Attach connectors (L109J and R109J) to the new support. Connect connectors (L109P and R109P). (14) Bond the identification labels of connectors (L109P and R109P) onto the new support. D. CHECK TESTING FINAL STEPS (1) Install CDU 1. (2) Carry out an operational test of the pilot FMS as per Maintenance Manual, procedure (3) For aircraft serial numbers 1 through 17, carry out a leak test of the pilot standby air data system as per Maintenance Manual, procedure (4) Reverse the operations described in paragraphs 2.C.(1) to (3). (5) Install the pilot seat. (6) Close nose landing gear well ceiling door (110AZ). E. RECORDING Record compliance with this Service Bulletin in the appropriate aircraft documents. Fill out the card located at the end of the Service Bulletin and mail or fax it to Dassault Aviation or Dassault Falcon Jet. Initial issuance Page 4
