The move affects all people travelling to the Philippines and is applicable to all types of passport, except temporary emergency travel documents Kindly ensure that the message is passed on to any guests with non-compliant documents. A $100 non-refundable fee is required with each completed application. 3.After accepting your completed application and fee, CBP will review your application. If your application is conditionally approved, then your GOES account will instruct you to schedule an interview at a Global Entry Enrollment Center. 4 Lufthansa and Air China Launch Joint Venture The Lufthansa Group and Air China are set to increase their co-operation after signing a commercial joint venture (JV). The agreement, confirmed on September 20, follows the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed in 2014 and will see the carriers significantly expand their code-sharing connections. Commenting on the deal, Lufthansa Chairman and CEO Carsten Spohr said: As the flag carrier, Air China is the ideal partner for the Lufthansa Group in the People s Republic of China. This ground-breaking joint venture will fundamentally strengthen our competitive position on routes between Europe and China. The significantly enhanced partnership will enable us to create additional benefits for customers. Spohr continued: The Chinese aviation market is one of the most important growth markets worldwide. We want to profit from this growth together with our Star Alliance partner Air China. Air China s Chairman Cai Jianjiang added: The Joint Venture with Lufthansa and its subsidiaries Austrian Airlines and Swiss International Air Lines is another major steps of Air China s globalisation strategy following our accession into Star Alliance in December Both parties can further strengthen our overall competitive edge in both China and Europe. Under the Joint Venture framework, we will further expand network coverage in China and Europe, enhance the flight connections in beyond markets and optimize flight schedules, enabling us to bring more and flexible flight choices, favourable fare products and seamless travel experiences. Under the terms of the agreement, the two carriers will co-ordinate their respective timetables to improve connectivity, offer common fares and examine opportunities to better integrate their frequent flyer programmes. It is the third such agreement put in place by Lufthansa in the last year after it signed similar deals with Japanese carrier All Nippon Airways (ANA) and Singapore Airlines last November.

5 Aeroflot - Adding current phone number of the passenger Please be informed that when you book passenger tickets on Aeroflot Group flights, you must indicate the current phone number of the passenger being carried. That number must be capable of receiving information both from Aeroflot s automated notification system, as well as from the airline s employees in case of an urgent necessity, including during check-in and/or while waiting inside airport s terminals. It is prohibited to enter general-use phone numbers (from directories, answering machines, including agents phone numbers), instead of the passenger s contacts. If any personal or contact details of passengers are indicated incorrectly, this may result in an untimely communication of important information regarding the upcoming flight, including flight schedule changes, delays, postponement, change of departure/boarding terminal and other abnormal or failure situations. The required formats that must be used when entering passengers contact details in PNR are given in the instruction manuals for the relevant GDS. In case of failing to comply with the requirements on entering passengers contact details, PJSC Aeroflot has the right to impose penalties in the amount of 30 USD for each PNR (paragraph 18 of ADM policy of PJSC Aeroflot ). 6 Flying Tips and Info Common Travel Day Health Issues and Why They Arise Certain physical challenges present themselves when flying long distances thanks to changed sleep schedules and diet, altitude changes, and the stress of travel days. Immune systems can be attacked from many sources in just one trip, even when efforts are made to maintain sanitary conditions. Jet lag: Jet lag, or desynchronosis, is a temporary disorder that causes fatigue, insomnia, and other symptoms as you travel across time zones. According to the Mayo Clinic, jet lag is tied to the disruption of the internal body clock, and pressurized airplane cabins and high altitude can contribute to the problem. 7 What Travelers Can Do Many things may be out of your control when you fly, but your health isn t one of them. Though sometimes challenging to maintain while on an airplane, there are preventative measures and actions you can take in flight to alleviate any health issues : Drink lots of water: Drink at least eight cups of water per day in the days leading up to your flight, and bring a water bottle to the airport, which you can fill after you ve passed security. Continue to drink water during your flight. Avoid alcohol: Though tempting, especially if you re a nervous flyer, consuming alcohol before or during your flight is just a bad idea. Flying dry keeps the body more hydrated and allows you to take any other needed medications. It s also best to avoid caffeine, another difficult one! Avoid high-fat and high-salt foods: Foods high in fat and salt (such as the kind easily found in airport food courts) can cause dehydration and make digestion take longer, adding to bloating. Instead, look for low-fat snacks and meal choices. Consider taking a probiotic or colonic: These over-the-counter remedies are not laxatives and can help you stay regular while traveling.
