Before attending this course the following requirements must be met: - The night flying ground school shall be completed. - The essential safety exercises 8 till 11 out of the TM added with the following emergencies shall be trained and checked during the night flying ground school: o Failure of runway lighting o Failure of aircraft landing lights o Failure of aircraft internal lighting o Failure of aircraft navigation lights o Abandoned take-off o Obstructed runway procedure The course shall be completed before performing the CPL skill test at the end of phase 3. 7 F3 GROUNDSCHOOL NIGHT DAY 1: CLASS DATE Planning Actual INSTRUCTOR 6:00 STUDENT Objective - This ground school prepares students for the night flying part in phase 3. The exercises mentioned shall be trained before the test takes place on day 2 of the ground school. Prepare your SOP s regarding night flying thoroughly before attending this ground school. - In case the student starts flying a new aircraft, the POH/AFM will be discussed. The focus is the systems that differ from the till this moment flown aircraft. The essential exercises mentioned as optional shall in addition to the mandatory exercises be discussed in this case. - Regardless of the above mentioned bullets the student must know all applicable memory items by heart. These will be tested in a memory items test on day 2 of this ground school. The test must be passed by at least 75%. - The memory items test must be passed by 100%. - All tests must be satisfactorily completed before starting to fly night lessons.
