Box CH-860 Wangen bei übendorf Switzerland World Economic Forum in avos 09. Temporary restricted area ( LS-R90) avos The World Economic Forum will be held in avos in January 09. The Federal Council has imposed restrictions on the use of the following airspace by civilian flights: Horizontal extent: A radius of 5 NM around avos (46 48'44" N / '59" E), above Swiss territory only (including the Principality of Liechtenstein). Vertical extent: From the ground up to.. avos Control Zone (CTR) Horizontal extent: Centre avos 46 48'44" N / '59" E, Radius.7 NM. Vertical extent: From the ground up to FL 75. Airspace class: elta Controlling unit: avos Tower MHz. Chart: see section 9 below. 3. Activation Times of LS-R90 and CTR avos Monday from 0700 UTC until Saturday UTC (H4) Note: Changes to activation times may be announced via NOTAM, which may result in LS-R90 and CTR avos having different activation periods. 4. Rules applicable within the Temporary Restricted Area ( LS-R90) avos for IFR Operations Flights within the restricted area operating under instrument flight rules (IFR) are only permitted for air traffic with EP / EST Samedan (LSZS) using joining or leaving flight plans. Special procedures apply for those flights as described in 8 of this Supplement. Radio Failure: In the event of a radio failure, the flight shall continue in accordance with the last clearance received and confirmed to destination. The transponder code 7600 shall be activated. (In such cases a visual identification by the Swiss Air Force may be expected.) 5. 2 AIRAC SUP 03 JAN General rules Additional restrictions may be imposed by the Swiss Air Force at all times (also at short notice). Extensive MIL air traffic may exist also outside of the restricted area. The lower limit of Airspace C over the Alps during the activation period of LS-R90 is FL 30. All publications, particularly additional NOTAMs, shall be checked and adhered to. ATC instructions shall be strictly complied with. Any flight departing from Switzerland seeking approval to insert STS/ATFMX in flight plan item 8 shall strictly adhere to the rules and procedures described in AIP Switzerland ENR.9../3. 7. ATS Route Modifications and Flight Planning Procedures in FIR/UIR Switzerland uring the World Economic Forum in avos, the following modifications concerning the ATS route network and flight planning procedures are applicable. The conditional route category is not modified unless specifically mentioned below. Opening & closure times for ATS routes and CT segments indicated below are planned values, actual times will be communicated daily via eaup/euup. All flights arriving from the north shall file their flight plan via UN850/N850 SOSON Z9 ETRI GUGSA (then VFR). All flights departing to the north (including EST LSZH) shall file their flight plan via GUGSA ETRI UZ65/Z65. All flights departing to the south shall file their flight plan via GUGSA ETRI Z9 SOSON UN850/N850 except flights planning via RONAG L63 SUXAN. The reporting point GUGSA and the associated holding pattern are the IFR clearance limit. All flights with destination LSZS that are unable to cancel their IFR flight plan latest at GUGSA shall proceed to their alternate aerodrome. Holding over GUGSA is limited to holding pattern per flight. Procedure for approach after IFR cancellation: Arrivals to RWY 03 shall prepare for IFR cancellation at ROSGO. After ROSGO, such flights shall proceed VFR via MALOJA to LSZS. If IFR cancellation at ROSGO is not possible, flights shall continue on until GUGSA. Arrivals to RWY shall prepare for IFR cancellation at GUGSA. After GUGSA, such flights shall proceed VFR direct to PIZ AINT, then turn left via ZERNEZ to LSZS. 4 AIRAC SUP 03 JAN 09 Procedure for departure before IFR joining: All departures being planned via GUGSA ETRI shall expect IFR joining at ROSGO. The following procedure shall be applied: After departure from RWY 03, flights shall initially climb straight ahead. Then - when clear of terrain - flights shall turn right and proceed via MALOJA to ROSGO. After departure from RWY, flights shall proceed direct to MALOJA. After MALOJA - and when clear of terrain - flights shall proceed direct to ROSGO. All departures being planned via RONAG L63 SUXAN shall expect IFR joining at RONAG. The following procedure shall be applied: After departure from RWY 03, climb straight ahead, when clear of terrain, proceed via ARE to RONAG. After departure from RWY, climb straight ahead, when clear of terrain, turn left, remain within Swiss airspace, proceed via ARE to RONAG.
