2 Day 1 - Saturday 9 March 2019 D E PA R T N E W Z E A L A N D - AU C K L A N D Depart Auckland this afternoon at 2:50pm (1450hrs) on our Thai Airways flight TG492 to Bangkok, arriving at 8:50pm (2050hrs). On arrival, transfer to the El Al Israel Airlines check in counter for security screening, before boarding your flight to Israel at 12:20am (0020hrs)! Day 2 Sun 10 March 2019 I S R A E L A R R I VA L, JA F FA, T E L AV I V, N E TA N YA Upon arrival into Ben Gurion International Airport at Tel Aviv at 6:50am, we will meet our guide and driver and begin touring with a visit to the ancient sea port city of Jaffa. We will then take in some interesting sites in Tel Aviv including the Ayalon Institute. Afterwards, we ll head to the hotel on the beautiful coast of Netanya to allow ourselves some well-earned rest in the afternoon before dinner and a good night s sleep. Day 3 Mon 11 March 2019 C A E S A R E A, M T. C A R M E L, N A Z A R E T H V I L L AG E, C A N A, S E A O F GA L I L E E After breakfast we ll head up the coast to Caesarea Maritima s spectacular ruins. Then onto Mt. Carmel, where Elijah challenged the Priests of Baal and Asherah and where the Jezreel Valley (Megiddo) is spread out before us like a patchwork quilt. We will then drive through Megiddo to Nazareth Village (1500hrs) to see what life was like for Jesus growing up. Pass through Cana before arriving at our hotel on the Sea of Galilee in Tiberias.

3 Day 4 - Tues 12 March 2019 J E S U S B OAT, B OAT R I D E, M T. O F B E AT I T U D E S, TA B G H A, C A P E R N AU M Our day commences with a visit to see the Jesus Boat, a magnificently well preserved fishing boat dating back to the 1st Century. This is followed by a Worship Boat Ride on the beautiful Sea of Galilee. From there we ll visit the Mt. of Beatitudes where Jesus preached the Sermon on the Mount. We ll enjoy a St. Peter s Fish Lunch (1230hrs). Tabgha is next, the place where Jesus commissioned Peter after His resurrection; we will then drive to Capernaum, Jesus home town during the majority of His ministry years. We ll also visit the place of the Primacy of St Peter. Return to our hotel in Tiberias for some relaxation before dinner and overnight. Day 5 - Wed 13 March 2019 M T A R B E L, K I B B U T Z M A L K I YA, YA R D E N I T O N T H E J O R DA N R I V E R Enjoy a morning visit to Mt. Arbel. We continue to Kibbutz Malkiya; Meet Israeli soldiers, young guys that are responsible for Israel s safety on Israel s northern border with Lebanon. An on-site briefing regarding Israel s security challenges concerning the Iranian supported Hezbollah in Southern Lebanon.We travel on to Kursi, the traditional site where Jesus delivered the demoniac. Next is a visit to Yardenit on the Jordan River. Those desiring to be baptised, will have their opportunity here. Return to our hotel for some time to relax on the Sea of Galilee before dinner and overnight.

4 Day 6 Thu 14 March 2019 BEIT SHEAN, SACHNE, QASR EL YAHUD, JERICHO, DEAD SEA We leave the Galilee this morning and head to Beit Shean, the capital city of the Decapolis which features incredible ruins and interesting New Covenant history. Afterwards we ll enjoy a picnic lunch in the beautiful Sachne Parklands. We ll drive down the Jordan Valley into the wilderness region to Qasr El Yahud, the actual site of Jesus baptism. We ll take the Cable Car in Jericho to visit the Mount of Temptation and enjoy a panoramic view looking down at the Oasis town, widely believed to be the world s oldest most inhabited town. Finally we will arrive and finish our day at our hotel for dinner and overnight, on the shores of the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth!

5 Day 7 Fri 15 March 2019 M A S A DA, E I N G E D I, Q U M R A N, K A L I A, S H A B B AT D I N N E R This morning will start with King Herod s mountain fortress, Masada. We ll catch the cable car up as we watch the young and adventurous walk up the windy snake path. From atop the mountain, we ll explore the cisterns, synagogue, and palace and learn about the story of the Jewish zealots and how Masada has become symbolic of the Jewish people s fight for freedom and independence. From there we will travel to Ein Gedi, an oasis in the desert where King David and his men hid from King Saul. We will continue to Qumran, where the most important archaeological discoveries in modern history were found (the famous Dead Sea Scrolls). We will proceed to Kalia Beach, one of the best known beaches of the Dead Sea. After floating in the salty waters, we will return to our hotel on the shores of the Dead Sea, for a special explanatory Shabbat dinner and overnight. Day 8 Sat 16 March 2019 B E E R S H E B A, S D E ROT, J E R U S A L E M We will start our day with a visit to Beer Sheba to briefly see Tel Sheva and Abraham s Well. Have a picnic lunch at the Australian Soldier Park. As our last station for this day we will visit Sderot, an Israeli town on the border to Gaza to get an understanding of some of the challenges and triumphs faced by local residents over the past 14 years of intermittent rocket attacks from Gaza We then commence the journey Up to Jerusalem. We ll enjoy a panoramic view of the Old City from Mt Scopus before dinner, late check-in after Shabbat and overnight.

6 Day 9 - Sun 17 March 2019 J E R U S A L E M : M T. O F O L I V E S, D O M I N U S F L E V I T, G E T H S E M E N E, M T Z I O N, H E B RO N Start with a visit to the Mt. of Olives with a breathtaking view of the Holy City. Begin the descent down the Palm Sunday Road and walk to Dominus Flevit, where Jesus wept over the city. Further down we ll come to the Garden of Gethsemane, where He agonised in prayer just prior to His arrest. From here we ll head to the Upper Room where believer s gathered together in prayer and fellowship awaiting the promise of the Holy Spirit. Visit to Hebron, one of the four holy cities in Israel. Walk in the footsteps of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joshua and King David. Visit the Tomb of Machpelah, where the patriarchs and matriarchs of the people of Israel are buried. Drive back to Jerusalem hotel for dinner and overnight. Day 10 Mon 18 March 2019 OLD CITY, VIA DOLOROSA, GARDEN TOMB, WESTERN WALL, SOUND & LIGHT SHOW We will make our way to the Old City and begin at the Pools of Bethesda. Walk to the nearby Ecce Homo, the place where Pilate presented Jesus after His scourging. From there we begin to walk the Via Dolorosa with its 14 Stations of the Cross. We will end at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, where some time will be given to those who d like to enter. Others may wish to spend some time wandering through the Old City and exploring the shouk (markets). We ll meet back together at the Garden Tomb to celebrate Communion together He is Risen! Next, we ll visit the Western Wall itself, Judaism s holiest site, held sacred to Jews for the past 2000 years, where they pray daily facing the site where the Temple (Holy of Holies) used to stand. After that we explore the Western Wall Tunnels and enjoy the underground tour. Straight after this, we will have a quick falafel meal in the Old City and make our way to the Sound and Light Spectacular at David s Citadel in the Old City. Return to our hotel for overnight.

7 Day 11 Tues 19 March 2019 C I T Y O F DAV I D, S O U T H E R N WA L L, G U S H E T Z I O N, B E T H L E H E M This morning we will visit the portions of the City of David and through Hezekiah's Tunnel, the very site where Jerusalem first became Israel s capital. We will then make our way to the see some of the incredible ruins surrounding the Temple Mount area that confirm the Biblical narrative. We will sit on the very steps, the Southern Steps, that Jesus taught on that led into the Temple and see the many Mikvot (ritual baths) used by the Jews for cleansing. This afternoon, proceed to Gush Etzion. Visit the Museum to discover the biblical, historical and strategic significance of Gush Etzion. On our way to Bethlehem we enjoy a brief stop at the Shepherds Field. We re then planning to meet with a local Baptist Pastor at the church and hear about the challenges confronting Christianity in Bethlehem. Return to our hotel in Jerusalem for dinner and overnight. Day 12 Wed 20 March 2019 S A M A R I A, M T G I R I Z I M, S H I LO, O F R A, B E T H E L / A R I E L Today we visit the Christian Friends of Israeli Communities (CFOIC) Heartland offices in Karnei Shomron. Sondra Baras will give an overview of the settlement movement as we visit the security centre to get a sense of how people are protected in this challenging area. From Mt Gerizim, enjoy the view towards the ancient Israelite city of Shechem, where Yeshua met the woman at the Well of Samaria. Continue to Shilo to see where the Tabernacle stood for 369 years. Enjoy the moving audiovisual presentation and see the archaeological finds that have been discovered there in recent years. Proceed to visit the community of Ofra and the Heart of Benjamin Program. Finally, we visit Beth El and hear teachings about Jacobs Ladder. Visit to the Eshel HaShomron Biblical Garden in Ariel. The garden is an educational project where people can see, smell and taste the Bible while learning about the rights of the Jewish people to the Biblical heartland of Judea and Samaria. We return to our Jerusalem hotel for dinner and overnight.

8 Day 13 Thu 21 March 2019 M U S E U M S, YA D H A S H M O N A H, D E PA R T O R R E T U R N TO J E R U S A L E M After hotel check out, we ll visit the Israel Museum to see the incredible scale model of Jerusalem of Jesus day; it s a visual perspective of all we ve experienced over the previous few days. We also enter the Shrine of the Book, to see the famous Dead Sea Scrolls. Continue to nearby Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Museum, which is very sobering but incredibly important. There are an increasing number of voices around the world denying the Holocaust ever happened and it s important we never, ever forget the truth. Our bus will then take us to Elah Valley, the staging ground for one of the Bible s most famous battles between David & Goliath. Then on to Yad Hashmonah, a Messianic Kibbutz, where we visit the biblical gardens and enjoy our final evening meal together. After dinner, those continuing to Petra will return back to the hotel in Jerusalem for an overnight stay. Those returning to New Zealand will be transferred to Ben Gurion International Airport to check in for flight LY081, departing Tel Aviv at 11:10pm (2310hrs) bound for Bangkok. Day 14 Fri 22 March 2019 T R A N S I T B A N G KO K On arrival into Bangkok at 2:50pm (1450hrs), proceed to your connecting Thai Airways flight TG491, departing at 6:45pm (1845hrs) bound for Auckland. 9 O P T I O N A L J O R DA N / E I L AT E X T E N S I O N Day 13 Thu 21 March 2019 R E T U R N TO J E R U S A L E M After farewelling those returning to New Zealand this evening, we ll transfer back to our hotel in Jerusalem for the night. Day 14 Fri 22 March 2019 A L L E N BY B R I D G E, M T N E B O, M A DA B A, P E T R A This morning after breakfast and check out, we will transfer to the Allenby Bridge and cross the border into Jordan. Visit Mt Nebo and Madaba before heading south to Petra for dinner and overnight at our hotel. Day 15 Sat 23 March 2019 P E T R A We will spend today in Petra. With the opportunity to enjoy a short horse ride, and then travel on foot through the awesome CIQ valley. Visit the Treasury and explore hundreds of buildings, tombs, temples and a 3,000 seat theatre from the first-century AD. Enjoy dinner and overnight in Petra.

10 Day 16 - Sun 24 March 2019 W A D I R A M, AQ A B A & E I L AT Depart Petra for Wadi Ram, the setting of Lawrence of Arabia and enjoy a 4WD tour of the magnificent Red Desert of Edom. Enjoy a Bedouin lunch before making our way to Aqaba on the Red Sea to cross the border back into Israel where we ll enjoy dinner and an overnight at our hotel in Eilat. Day 17 - Mon 25 March 2019 N EG E V D E S E R T, D E PA R T U R E After hotel check out we visit the Tabernacle in the Wilderness and Solomon s Pillars at Timna Park. From there we travel through the Negev Desert, before visiting the crater at Mitzpe Ramon. Transfer to Ben Gurion International Airport to check in for flight LY081 departing Tel Aviv at pm (2310hrs) bound for Bangkok.

Thank you so much for this opportunity. I would not have contemplated going unless it was with a group of Kiwis. Everyone was well looked after and your care of us all was exceptional. I am trouble settling back in to life and work at home as I feel so connected to Israel and its people.
