ABOUT GLOBAL HERITAGE FUND THE GHF, FOUNDED IN THE SILICON VALLEY IN 2002, is changing the face of world heritage preservation to become a tool for human development and understanding between cultures. As a young organisation we have embraced technology to support conservation as a force for good and we are in the front line of international efforts to save our vanishing heritage.
GLOBAL HERITAGE FUND: MISSION OUR PURPOSE IS THE RESTORATION OF ICONIC WORLD HERITAGE SITES at risk in the developing regions of the world. We aim to improve the condition and economic value of these sites, enabling the communities around them to prosper. To achieve this we raise the funds and then partner with local people, communities, organizations, and governments to both preserve the cultural heritage of the past, and ensure that it becomes a continuing and beneficial part of people s lives.
WHY IS HERITAGE PRESERVATION SO IMPORTANT? HERITAGE IS OUR LEGACY from the past, what we live with today, and w h a t w e p a s s o n t o f u t u r e generations. Our cultural and n a t u r a l h e r i t a g e a r e b o t h irreplaceable sources of life and inspiration. UNESCO 2008 Today poverty, natural disasters, terrorism, warfare and ethnic conflict all pose a threat to many our world heritage sites.
GLOBAL HERITAGE FUND: WORKING IN THE COMMUNITY We employ local communities with our Preservation by Design methodology. We also provide training to enable these culturally important historic buildings, medieval villages and holy places to be returned to the local community as assets for income generation.
GLOBAL HERITAGE FUND: WORKING IN THE COMMUNITY The training we provide includes: SITE MANAGEMENT AND PLANNING CONSERVATION AND SKILLS TRAINING COMMUNITY BASED TOURISM SEED FUNDING AND MANAGEMENT ENTERPRISE CREATION
COMMUNITY BENEFIT PARTNERING WITH YOUR COMPANY WILL ENABLE US TO: Preserve unique heritage sites and save iconic places Expand our activities and enrich the lives of the communities we work with Bring targeted skills in hospitality and tourism development to our communities Fund conservation, training and enterprise creation at GHF sites Develop a model of tourism working to support communities and heritage
WORKING WITH THE GLOBAL HERITAGE FUND All our sponsorships programmes are bespoke. We work with our partners to identify elements of GHF s programmes of activity that you can engage with to activate your association. We have a distinctive mission that can support your brand across a number of channels: SUPPORTING GHF TO SAVE ICONIC PLACES AN ETHOS OF BEYOND MONUMENTS WORKING WITH COMMUNITIES, DEVELOPING SUSTAINABLE PROJECTS JOB CREATION AND EMPOWERMENT ASSOCIATION WITH GHF S INFLUENTIAL PATRONS AND DONORS
PARTNERING: GLOBAL HERITAGE FUND We offer partners the opportunity to benefit from association with a respected international brand whose focus is the conservation of heritage and community regeneration in projects across: CHINA GREECE INDIA NEPAL TURKEY We will work with you and your marketing team to ensure we develop maximum value for your brand to meet your business and communications objectives.
CULTURAL HERITAGE SITES are the root of a people s history and the bedrock of their future. Their preservation is vital for protecting the rich, shared story of all of us. We believe that TRANSFORMING HERITAGE INTO AN ECONOMIC ENGINE for its surrounding community is the surest means of long-term preservation. Our vision is beyond monuments; we develop STRONG PARTNERSHIPS WITH LOCAL COMMUNITIES as the foundation of our work. We embrace TECHNOLOGY FOR CONSERVATION and as a force for social good. We work to empower COMMUNITIES AS STEWARDS OF THEIR HERITAGE in this generation and all generations to come.

ABOUT GLOBAL HERITAGE FUND GHF is an international charity whose primary objective is the preservation of archaeological sites, cultural heritage and historic landscapes in developing countries. GHF provides support for Site Management Planning, Training, Site Conservation and Community Development aimed at world-class conservation and the development of local institutions for the promotion of sustainable tourism at these sites. GHF is a registered charity in England and Wales (reg: ), operating under a memorandum of understanding with charities of the same name registered in both the USA and Hong Kong. In 2016, total income for the combined charities amounted to 1.5m with expenditure of 1.6m. To date, GHF has raised and spent over $36m to conserve heritage and empower communities across the developing world. Our success is measured by both our preservation and socio-economic development impacts. In 19 countries, at 28 sites, and with 114 partners, we ve empowered people to build a future for themselves that s beyond monuments.
