21 Key milestones achieved Pilot Missions Timor-Leste The country needs are very broad, the Guidebook can help to an integrated approach for both EU and Government and private sector Helps to build the right governance, Poverty reduction through tourism in a post conflict country is seen in being instrumental Botswana Strong Government commitment to the industry and its development (increase revenues and reduce the excessive dependence on diamonds)
22 The way forward Position tourism in the development agenda Rio+20, post 2015: the EU is committed to include sustainable tourism, as well as in the 10YFP on sustainable consumption and production Tourism is gaining recognition in the Aid-for-Trade Agenda - EIF and the SCTD OECD and WTO will present a Report on tourism during the 4 th Global Aid for Trade Review EIF is interested in using the Guidebook for DTIS and capacity building for LDCs UNWTO is committed to promote widely the Guidebook to its Member States, UN system with the SCTD UNWTO and UNDP with the EU Del in Nicaragua are working towards a project to revitalize the East Coast through tourism - Guidebook to be used to strengthen the evidence of poverty reduction
