2 Location: Summer World at a glance Active in Summer The holiday region Alpbachtal Seenland is situated between the Kitzbüheler Alps and the Rofan Range in the Tyrolean lower Inn valley. The region can be reached easily via the Inn valley motorway A12 exit Kramsach. Express trains stop at the stations of Jenbach and Wörgl, where you can then change to a regional train for Kundl, Rattenberg or Brixlegg stations. For instance in Tyrol s warmest bathing lakes, 3 adventure gorges and crystal clear drinking water. The region also has some sites of cultural interest such as Rattenberg known for its glass and historical small town atmosphere. At the Museum of Tyrolean Farmhouses Tyrolean history and culture can be experienced firsthand whilst visiting the original preserved buildings. Action for kids: be it Juppi Kid s Club or the adventure swimming pool boredom will never be an issue. Detailed maps and walking suggestions can be obtained in the tourist information offices! And to reward yourself you can stop off for a typical Jausn (snack) in one of the many huts. Wiedersbergerhornbahn Alpbach The Wiedersbergerhornbahn brings you up to an altitude of m and to a wonderful high pasture and hiking area around the Wiedersbergerhorn. Reitherkogelbahn Alpbachtal In Reith i. A. the 8-person-gondola the Family-Jet takes a mere 5 minutes to bring you up the Reither Kogel, which is very popular with families. Dreamlike views over the Alpbach Valley, Ziller Valley and Inn Valley await you. Sonnwendjochbahn Kramsach Up to breathtaking heights in Tyrol s Alpine rose garden. The Rofan Range offers hiking and walking possibilities of various degrees of difficulty. 4 World of discoverers Museum of Tyrolean Farmhouses Kramsach Sculpture Park Kramsach Farmhouse Museum Alpbach Candle World Brixlegg Tyrol s largest open-air museum is situated near Lake Reintal. An air of nostalgia hangs over the old farms and their interesting pasts. I feel myself transported to the Tyrol of old and go about discovering these witnesses of a culture of the past. A highlight on the museums calendar is the traditional Kirchtag, which takes place on the last Sunday in September. Opening hours Palm Sunday 31st October Daily from 9.00 a.m p.m., last admittance at 5.00 p.m. Information: Tel. +43 (5337) 62636, A unique complete piece of art is situated on the Brandenberg river in Kramsach. The sculpture park is where contemporary culture meets nature and a visit to this park is free all year round. Exhibitions and concerts also take place in the sculpture park. The arts director Alois Schild also runs corresponding exhibitions in his gallery Troadkastn. Information: Tel. +43 (0) Looking down on the small Inneralpbach church a few hundred metres above Inneralpbach at the edge of the woods is the Vorder-Unterberg farm. It took local carpenters two years (1636 to 1638) to build and it was inhabited up to Approximately 800 pieces of furniture and items of practical use are on view and show you how the Alpbach Valley forefathers, the Altvorderen lived. 5 World of discoverers Rattenberg the glass town Augustine Museum Rattenberg Mysterious World of Crystal Kisslinger Rattenberg Handicraft museum (Nagelschmiedhäuser) Rattenberg The museum is situated to the West of Rattenberg in the nail smith s houses. These houses with double gables, set in the rock face are one of Rattenberg s choice favourite motives for painters and photographers. There is a large selection of original souvenirs and gifts to be found in the shop in the grotto. A stroll through the pedestrian zone of Austria s smallest town with all its handicraft and glass shops is the modern way of brushing shoulders with the past. A five minute detour to the Schlossberg is rewarded with remarkable views: Rattenberg laid out at your feet. THE Museum of religious art in the Tyrol. The former Augustine and later from 1384 to 1971 Servite monastery is home to this unique museum. The Augustine Museum opened its doors for the first time in 1993 and is extremely popular. You can admire the glassblowers showing off their craft in Kisslingers Zauberwelt des Glases. It is crystal clear that we will find a large exhibition space with a splendid choice of artistic glass ware. 6 Water world The Alpbachtal Seenland is unbelievably rich in water. Bathing lakes/ swimming pools Tyrol s warmest bathing lakes can be found in the lake village Kramsach. The largest is Lake Reintal and other lakes are the Krummsee and the idyllic forest lake - Lake Berglstein. The village of Breitenbach has a bathing lake the Badl, which is an ideal place to cool off. The Reith bathing lake lies at the heart of the village of Reith im Alpbachtal and has a designated children s area. Swimming pools can be found in Brixlegg, Münster and Kundl. The Alpbach indoor adventure pool and its sauna area offer ideal all-weather fun for the whole family. Kundl gorge The Kundl gorge is a popular excursion site for young and old. The wide path leads past bizarre shapes and majestic rocks. The river bed is full of stones and a site for geological discoveries. Any stones you have found can be taken to the Tyrol s only stone polisher Fa. Sandbichler in Kundl and have them polished and made into personal objects. Kaiser gorge Brandenberg Just a few minutes walk from the Kaiserhaus in Brandenberg (inn with beautiful garden) is the entrance to the impressive gorge with its roaring water. Young children are only allowed to walk the gorge with safety harnesses. Harnesses for hire at the Kaiserhaus. The gorge provides an ideal starting point for a visit to the Erzherzog-Johann- Klause. Tiefenbach gorge Brandenberg The Brandenberg stream continues its journey from the Kaiser gorge to the Tiefenbach gorge. You can walk the gorge starting in Kramsach at the lift car park and walk towards the Jausenstation Tiefenbachklamm or follow the gorge path from the Jausenstation. From May October weekly tours are organized. NEW: the spectacular viewing platform at the gorges highest point.

7 Active programme A diverse landscape offers many possibilities for an active holiday. You will find plenty of activities in the Alpbachtal Seenland. Active biking Several bike tours per week ranging from easy to difficult Individual tour planning and training possible on request. Discovery walks Weekly from Monday Friday all guests can partake in free guided walks. Every day the programme offers at least 2 walks. High rope garden tour All year round you can tread new paths in metre heights in the high rope garden in Kramsach. An experienced guide assists you along the varied course. Live a day full of action and fun and gather experience together with like-minded sportspeople. Wild water sport with Sport Ossi Top wild water sport! Ossi and his team are the professionals in the region water comes to life. How about: tube riding, soft rafting, white water rafting and kayak courses, special children s programme. Skydiving Radfeld The free fall, weightless flight has always been mans dream we make it become reality. Experience an exhilarating jump with a parachute from metres. Tandem flying from the Wiedersbergerhorn To see the Tyrolean mountains from a birds eye view is a real experience. Your paragliding teacher from the Flugschule Wildschönau will guide you through the process of learning to fly. Segway Trekking Reach heights with ease with these computer driven off-road rollers. The marvelous gadgets reach speeds of up to 20 km/h. Suitable for children (as from 6 years of age) and adults.

8 Adventure for families Families feel they are well cared for in the Alpbachtal Seenland. Juppi Kid s Club in the Familiennest Reith im Alpbachtal has an all year round fun children s programme. Every year there is a different motto. The Juppi Zauberwald (enchanted forest) on the Reither Kogel and the Lauserland on the Wiedersbergerhorn are the places to be when you want to have fun in the mountains (both can be reached with the Alpbachtaler Bergbahnen). All Summer the Alpbachtaler Kinderpark welcomes everybody and offers mini golf, a small park train, small animal zoo, electro cars and more. Numerous family run and certified lodgings take care of their guests and their wishes.

9 ...and of course the 360 panoramic view is for free! Snow like this keeps you moving. The Alpbachtal ski area is far removed from mass tourism 54 piste kilometers and 21 modern lifts are always up to date. The well maintained pistes reach up to an altitude of Meter and over 70% can be serviced with artificial snow. Numerous child friendly runs make the Alpbachtal an ideal holiday resort. 3 ski schools offer children s ski courses if desired with lunch. Off piste Juppi Kid s Club is the ideal place for young ones to spend their time. You can experience Winter from a different perspective on approx. 140 km cleared Winter walking paths and the 16 well maintained cross country trails. 10 Ski fun Alpbachtal I must be part of this! Up to the Wiedersbergerhorn. Wow the panorama is breathtaking. A short pause and then off you go into this skiing paradise. Off towards the Hornlift 2000 and reach the highest point. Continue along the ski route to Inneralpbach guaranteed deep snow fun. The family is up the Reither Kogel. The ski area is perfect for young and old to practice their first turns. And learning with the ski school group is so much fun and seems so easy. 11 Toboggan fun Feel like tobogganing? There are 8 runs in the Alpbachtal Seenland, where the whole family can try their skills. Top tobogganing tip: Bischoferalm Alpbach 4 km floodlit tobogganing run, 3 huts along the run await the hungry and thirsty tobogganing enthusiasts Cross country skiing Gliding, skating or classical cross country? You re bound to enjoy cross country skiing on the 100 km well maintained trails. Top cross country trail tip: Schönauer trail Breitenbach 15 km circular trail offering skating + classical cross country inter-connecting trail network with Angerberg/Mariastein Ice skating/ice curling The Eisarena Kundl (indoor rink) is the regions ice skating centre and from mid October mid March provides for skating fun in all weathers. Artificial rinks can be found in Kramsach, Reith i. A. and Alpbach. Indoor swimming pool In the Alpbacher Erlebnis Hallenbad (Indoor Adventure Pool) you can have great fun and at the same time get plenty of healthy exercise. The pool offers: 25m sports swimming lanes, large water slide and island with waterfall, massage bench, floor blubber and children s swimming area. Sauna lovers will enjoy the beautiful sauna area and steam bath.

12 authtentic and unforgettably Guided Winter walks How about treading off-piste paths? A guided Winter walk would be an ideal way to discover the landscape and a torchlight walk is so romantic. Enjoy a tour through snow covered scenery with feather light snow shoes on your feet. Several times a week you will find these walks on the weekly programme in the Alpbachtal Seenland. Pre Christmas period The Alpbachtal Seenland has some top notch programmes and events during the contemplative pre Christmas period. You re just a few steps behind the Christchild. Rattenberg Advent A contemplative experience in the small historical town brings back memories of Christmases of old. Open fire places, torches, candles and a great programme with music groups, Tyrolean artists, attractions for children, Christmas stories and more enchant visitors. Brixlegg Christmas market The Brixlegg Christmas market is where angels, St. Nicholas s & co. convene. Every Saturday has a different motto such as Tyrol s most beautiful Christ Child processions, Christmas and pastoral plays and much more. An angel s post office is set up to accept children s letters with their Christmas wishes.
