1 Frequently Asked Questions The Cornish BBQ Hut Company What is included in the price? All of our BBQ huts include: The wall; roof & floor panels; inside grill with cooking platforms; tables around the grill; adjustable chimney; double glazed windows; locking door with hexagonal window; 5 inside benches with cushions & the bitumen roof shingles. Everything you need to construct your hut is included. The hut comes flat packed with detailed assembly instructions and drawings. The bitumen shingles are already attached to the roof panels for ease of construction. You will need your own tools! The price does NOT include the construction of the base, installation and/or assembly of the hut. We can however provide a team for this at an additional cost. Please contact us for a competitive quote. What is my hut made from? All of our huts are made from half round spruce boards which are 45mm thick. They are sourced from sustainable supplies.

2 Is there a choice of colour for the roof? Yes, we can supply black, green or red roof shingles. All pre attached to assist with ease of construction. Is it possible to sleep in my hut? All of our huts (apart from our smallest one -the 6.9 Faery Hut), have fold out benches for sleeping on if needed. Please refer to individual products for details. Do I need planning permission for my BBQ Hut? In most cases you should not need planning permission: however we advise that you check with your local planning authority. If you are unsure as to whether you need planning permission you can submit a "Do I need planning permission" form to your Local Authority. We can provide information and advice but please note it is your responsibility to check that the necessary planning regulations are adhered to. If you are in doubt please contact your local planning office, this will avoid any confusion and is helpful, particularly if you live in a conservation area. There is usually a charge which you will need to pay directly to your local planning authority. Do I need a base for my BBQ Hut? Yes, as for all wooden garden structures a level base is essential, and you can put it onto wood decking, patio slabs or a concrete base. If you choose to put your hut on a concrete base a flue is required for adequate air flow. Please contact us for further info on completing a base.

3 Can you arrange to build my BBQ Hut? Yes, we can recommend contractors who are available to construct your BBQ Hut. This will be at an additional cost. Can I assemble the BBQ Hut myself? Yes they are relatively straight-forward to assemble & they come with detailed instructions. We can however provide a skilled team to construct your hut. How long will it take to assemble? Time taken depends on the size of the hut, the amount of people helping and the level of expertise. They usually take between 2-3 days How many people does it take to assemble my hut? We recommend at least 2 people, 3 is preferential. Are the BBQ Huts pre-treated or painted? All of our BBQ huts come in an untreated, natural wood finish, so it is strongly recommended that you treat your BBQ Hut yourself after construction. We can treat your BBQ Hut for an additional cost. Do the Huts fill with smoke? The BBQ Huts can be slightly smoky when first lit or if the weather is windy. If there is any smoke it is more of a camp fire atmosphere and is not unpleasant. The Chimney and air vents

4 remove the smoke from inside, but for safety purposes you MUST install a carbon monoxide detector. What should I burn in my hut? It is usual to start the BBQ off with standard charcoal, however, once the fire has become established and is burning nicely then you could use ordinary dry logs split up into small pieces. For safety purposes you must use a carbon monoxide detector. Can I have more than one opening window? Yes, although we provide one as standard more opening windows can be requested at an additional cost. Are wall/window panels interchangeable to suit my garden? All wall panels are interchangeable and can be positioned to suit your personal preference. DELIVERY There are three options for delivery: Option 1 - If you opt for our construction services we will deliver your hut for free. Option 2 - Non Pallet - We can deliver your hut and assist with the offloading - We will provide a delivery time and date for this option - however there will be an additional cost this will be agreed in advance. Option 3 - Pallet We can arrange for the hut to be delivered directly via our manufacturer for no additional cost. Due to the size of the

5 buildings you will need to have at least 2 people to help with offloading and this will have to be completed within 1 hour. PAYMENT & TERMS We currently accept cheques, postal orders, direct bank transfers, and cash. We request payment in FULL before any Hut is delivered. To confirm your order we take a non-refundable deposit of 20%. Just before your BBQ Hut is dispatched we will ask for you to settle the balance in full. We do not currently offer finance. If you change your mind you can cancel your order, however we will not be able to refund you your deposit, as this covers the initial cost of production. All cancellations must be made in writing within 7 days of your initial order. We do not accept returns unless there is damage or a manufacturing defect. In this case you must notify us in writing via or post within 7 working days of delivery. We will then arrange collection. If the BBQ Hut delivered to you is not what you ordered, does not correspond with its description, or arrives damaged or faulty, we may replace the item or affected parts. In the unlikely event of the BBQ Hut becoming defective within the first month of delivery, we will at our own discretion, repair or replace the defective item. You will not be charged for the

6 cost of returning the defective item. We will not accept any returns if the item has been altered, customized or damaged by applying chemicals or paints to the surfaces. While in your possession, you must keep any items you intend to return to us in good condition. Items must be returned in the same condition as they were delivered. If products were delivered flat packed, they must be returned in the same way. Every effort must be taken to ensure that the returned item(s) are packed well to avoid further damage or loss.
