4 LOCATION Surrounded by its own land, Higher Polmenna is located in an idyllic rural setting, within easy reach of Truro, St Austell and the Roseland Peninsula, just two miles from the sea. The nearby village of Tregony, known as the gateway to the Roseland Peninsula, is a wonderful, quiet community which offers a school, pub, two churches and a community centre. HISTORY There has been a settlement at Higher Polmenna since at least 1293, when the property was known as Penmere (Cornish Pen and Meneth meaning Hilltop ).
