You are not allowed to take any belongings with you to Auschwitz due to security reasons so please leave them on the coach to ensure a smooth entry process! ul. A reservation has been made in advance for your group and tickets are enclosed in your final documents hrs 3.5 hour tour at both camps with an English speaking guide - Auschwitz I and Birkenau Since World War II the name of the two has become a symbol all over the world of the martyrdom of Nazi victims. Built here in 1940 was the largest concentration comp Oswiecim Brzezinka/Auschwitz- Birkenau in which more than 1,500,000 prisoners of 28 nationalities lost their lives, among them Polish social and political activists. Soviet prisoners, and the largest number Jews were brought from all over Europe. The camp area has been designed as a Monument to the Martyrdom of the Polish and other nations. Since 1947 there has been a National Museum of Martyrology here. It is the central feature of the main market square in the Old Town. St Mary s Church - situated on the Amin Square, the church contains a magnificent medieval alterpiece, the largest of its kind Wawel Castle - has been at the heart of Poland's history. The seat of Poland's kings from the eleventh to the early seventeenth century. You descend 150m below ground level by foot for a 2½ hour tour through several kilometres of corridors. Inside there are chapels, ballrooms, a café and a museum. Cost: Included in your tour price. 8 Final itinerary - Day 4 Monday 28 th May hrs Breakfast at the hotel (last meal included in your tour price) Group to check out and store luggage in lockable room provided 10.00hrs 13.00hrs 14.30hrs Morning/afternoon to be spent in Kraków Old Town for last minute sightseeing and shopping Time for lunch (at group s own cost and arrangement) Group may wish to visit Rynek Underground Permanent Exhibition Archaeological layers of the Main Square contain 1000 years of history. 5 years of scientists research is presented in the underground exhibition, whose main aim is to show very close connections between Middle Age Cracow and other Middle Age European cities. Cracow's Main Square is an unique place. It was delineated in the middle of the XIII century and became the principal public area of the city. Unchanged through centuries, it is still the heart of Cracow. In order to see how it looked in the late Middle Ages - in the time when Mikolaj Kopernik was walking about - one needs to go underground. In 966 the 'Baptism of Poland' took place and scientists working under Market Square had found few archaeological treasures which reveal interesting secrets about those times. This place is an odyssey into the past, brought to life centuries later by archaeologists. You will be able to admire the city from the deck of the ship, which will carry you along the Vistula River starting from the Royal Wawel Castle. You will be able to see places such as: The Wawel Hill, Norbertine Nunnery, Kościuszko Mound, St. Peter s and St. Paul s Church, Wawel Castle, Grunwaldzki Bridge, Skałka Church, Krzemionki, Kazimierz, J.
