1 NOTICE TO PROVIDE INFORMATION FOR DISABLED PERSONS AND PERSONS WITH REDUCED MOBILITY UNDER SECTION 85 OF THE CIVIL AVIATION ACT 2012 Date: 4 August 2014 To: Highlands and Islands Airports Limited 1. In accordance with section 85 of the Civil Aviation Act 2012 (the Act) you are required to provide the information relating to you which is specified in paragraph 3 below (Specified Information), in the form and manner specified in paragraph 4, and at the time specified in paragraph The CAA requires this information for the purpose of carrying out its functions under section 83 of the Act. 3. The Specified Information is as follows: PRM Information on the assistance provided at Islay airport. 4 x disabled parking spaces provided opposite terminal entrance 3 x wheel chair available 2 x disabled toilet.1 in main terminal and 1 in departures lounge. PRM Assistance from car park to terminal if required PRM assistance from terminal to Aircraft if required 1 x Amazon stair climber 1 x Ambulift Loop system installed in Terminal Arrangement for PRMs assistance at the airport FLYBE please contact Airline For any other requirements please pre-notify the Airport on and make reference specifically to the needs required.
2 Information on getting to the airport The Airport can be accessed by Bus, private car or taxi. 2 bus stops adjacent to main entrance Local taxis can be booked in advance of arrival at the airport or may be contacted on arrival at the airport terminal (subject to availability). Car hire is also available in the terminal building Car parking is free of charge Drivers are advised that vehicles and their contents are left at their own risk Airport layout. The terminal Airport is a short distance from the car park area within 5m from disabled parking and 3 m from drop off point), assistance to and from this area can be provided on request. The terminal building is approx. 25m x 25m all areas including Check-in, security, Disable toilets, Departure/Arrivals are all with in this area. Aircraft stand is approx. 10m distance from the Terminal Building A diagram of the terminal building is shown on the next page.
3 Information on performance standards. Service Level Agreement - For passengers with reduced mobility and disabled persons Highlands and Islands Airports Limited is accountable for the service provided to People of Reduced Mobility and Disabled Persons under EC Regulation 1107/2006. EC Regulation 1107/2006 specifies the following minimum standard levels of service to be applied to the handling of people of Reduced Mobility and Disabled Persons.
4 Departing Passengers For pre-booked departing Upon arrival at the airport, once they have made themselves known: 80% of passengers wait no longer than 10 minutes for assistance 90% of passengers wait no longer than 20 minutes for assistance 100% of passengers wait no longer than 30 minutes for assistance Arriving Passengers For pre-booked arriving Assistance should be available at the gate/aircraft side for: 80% of within 5 minutes of on chocks 90% within 10 minutes 100% within 20 minutes For non-pre-booked departing Upon arrival at the airport, once they have made themselves known: 80% of passengers wait no longer than 25 minutes for assistance 90% of passengers wait no longer than 35 minutes for assistance 100% of passengers wait no longer than 45 minutes for assistance For non-pre-booked arriving Assistance should be available at the gate/aircraft side for: 80% of within 25 minutes of on chocks 90% within 35 minutes 100% within 45 minutes Information on airport security. PRM s will be assisted to the designated area for security Information on mobility equipment. At Islay only one mobility scooter is permitted in the cargo hold of each SAAB 340 aircraft per flight. Assistance dogs are permitted within the terminal and on Loganair SAAB 340 scheduled flights, for more information please contact the airline operator or Loganair website
