Staff will schedule event road closures. List of road closures for special events held August 2016 through July 2017 Several of the special events that are private, co-sponsored, or produced by the City of Dunedin, require temporary road closures which must be approved by the City Commission. In some cases, parts of State roads must be closed for events, which require a permit from the Florida Department of Transportation (FOOT). In such cases, FOOT may request copies of the minutes of the City Commission meetings at which the road closures were approved. The City Commission has historically preferred to address all of the road closures at one time, rather than deal with them one by one throughout the year. All special event road closures are handled in consultation with the Pinellas County Sheriffs Office. City staff is recommending Commission approval of the attached August 2016 through July 2017 Special Event Road Closures.
