1 Access Statement for Lookout Holiday Park Introduction We at the Lookout Holiday Park aim to ensure that all our guests enjoy the accommodation and facilities that we have to offer on the site. We are here to help in any way that we can and if assistance is needed then we are only to happy to help. Pre-Arrival We cater for Static Holiday Homes, Tents, Camping Pods and Touring Caravans We have the use of , our website and Fax. This access statement can be posted out upon request. The park is on a main bus route, and this takes you to the nearest Train station Wareham. Bus services here do not have ramp access to them. Taxis are available by telephone request. Wareham is 1 mile north from the site. On site there is a shop which caters for the site and local community so most things can be found in store. Wareham has a local shop that hires Mobility scooters, wheelchairs etc, there number is Arrival & Car Parking Facilities To the front of Reception there is a large tarmac car park for our customers and the shop. To get to Reception there are two steps or a ramp at the side. There is an Emergency contact number displayed on the office door.

2 Main Entrance, Reception & Ticketing Area Reception is via two steps or a ramp, both with hand rails. The door is not automatic but staff will open if needed. The main door is 830mm wide and has a small lip at the bottom, the office is carpeted and level. Lighting in the office is provided by spot lights. Opening times are displayed on the door and are generally office hours. The counter in reception is 900mm high and the general office area is 8ft by 10ft. Public Areas - Hall, Stairs, Landing, Corridors etc Throughout the site the roads are tarmac and there are also speed bumps. The site is on a slight slope down from Reception. There is a public telephone by the Games Room this has a brick step into it and is lit at night. Baby changing facilities are available in both toilet blocks. Public Areas - Sitting room, lounges, lobbies etc Same as above Public WCs The first toilet block is located in the A field touring, behind the Laundrette. There are Gents and Ladies toilets here & a wet room. The second toilet block is in the B field touring and has toilets again for both men and women. B Block toilets are accessible by wheel chairs as is the wet room in the A Block.

3 Doors are hinged and on self-closers, the floor surface is tiled in both toilet blocks. The wet room has a toilet, sink and shower, all accessible by wheel chair. Restaurant / Dining Room, Bar & Bar area, Take Away & Cafe Not Applicable Laundry The Laundry is in the middle of the site by the A Block Toilet, there is a concrete path with slight ramp to main door. The Laundry door is 70mm wide. Washing machines are 125mm high and are front loading, powder going in the top of machine. Tumble driers are front loading and the doors are 90mm high. There is a wash hand basin provided as well at 125mm high. The floor in there is tiled, washing powder and softener is available from inside as well. Lighting is strip lights and opening times are displayed on wall. Shop The Shop is on the main car park next to Reception, there are the same steps and ramp as the reception and the entrance door to the shop is 870mm wide. The isles in the shop are between 800mm and 900mm wide. Lighting again is strip lights; the main counter in there is 930mm high. Assistance is provided through the store if needed. Prices are clearly displayed on the shelves.

4 Treatment room/s Not applicable Leisure Facilities The Games Room is just down the main drive, accessibility is provided by a ramp at the main entrance and the fire door. Opening times are clearly displayed inside the building. Strip lights are provided for lighting and the floor is tiled. Within the Games Room there are Pool Tables, Table Tennis table and a variety of gambling and video machines. Outdoor Facilities The Play Area is in the B field and is all grassed, under each play equipment is soft tarmac. There are two benches on the play area. 5 Not Applicable Self-Catering Kitchen There are three sets of sinks for Touring customers to use, one by the A block and two at the B Block. Both provide hot and cold water. Caravans, Holiday Homes & Twin Units Parking for all holiday homes are beside the units, each caravan has steps to the van with a hand rail. The steps are 80mm wide. The doors are double glazed and a width of mm. There is grass to the side of each van for sitting etc. The caravans are designed for families of 4 and 6, each caravan has a television with remote they also have tele text and subtitles. Our caravans have one external light for the rear door and normal lights through out the van; in the double room we provide a lamp for the side of the bed. Within the caravan there is a folder with useful information in for the site and surrounding area. The caravans are carpeted throughout expect for kitchen and bathroom where it is lino. The Ridge caravan is catered for the person in a wheel chair, it has a ramp that is 100mm wide, and then in through a door of 70mm wide, in the caravan there is ample space for a wheel chair to move about, the bathroom has supports for the toilet, the sink is designed for wheel chairs to go underneath and in the shower there is a seat and rails. The kitchen in the Ridge is not designed for a wheel chair so the carer would be only able to use this.

6 Touring Facilities (Holiday Parks) We have two touring fields, the A field has hard standings for caravans and motor homes, the B field has a mixture of hard standings and grass these again are for caravans, motor homes and tents and with or without electric. Parking is included in each pitch; if help is needed in pitching then this can be arranged. Drinking water and waste water points are all over the touring fields and within easy reach of each pitch on site. We have 2 toilet blocks on site as stated before, one is in the A field and one in B field, the A field has the new disabled wet room, a chemical toilet point and an area for washing up, as does the B field. The A block toilets have ramp access to the wet room and a step of 150mm into the Ladies and Gents. In each block there are toilets, sinks and showers, each shower has a step of 20mm to get into it. Through out the site there are large wheelie bins for household rubbish, they stand at 1020mm high. There is the facility in the Reception to hire ice packs if needed. 7 Grounds and Gardens The Park is set over 15 acres and spaced out, the roads are tarmac everywhere is clearly signed. The Play Area is in the B field and has a large number of Adventure Frames and Swings, they all have soft play tarmac underneath for a safe landing. There is also a football pitch here as well, lots of grass for ball games and two picnic benches for seating. Additional Information Smoking is not permitted in the Holiday Homes and the Games Room, Laundry & Toilet Blocks. Mobile phone coverage is good throughout the whole of the site. The Site also benefits from having a Wifi internet connection. Dogs are not permitted on site unless Guide Dogs.
