Cllrs Dunkley, Munsey and Dixon to meet with the commissioner. b) Western Power request to move the sub-station in the Swingfield information only c) Date to be arranged for painting white gates date is the 7 th September at 10am. Please bring your own brushes! d) Village of the Year results Syresham won Medium Village category and was runner up in the Overall Best Village category e) Parish Enhancement Gang visit was completed on the 21 st July. Clerk to write to Highways to thank them for their efforts. 6. The year to date spend was reviewed by all councillors and all budgeted payments were as expected. Further invoices from Hewitsons are not expected in the immediate future. The van will visit on the second Wednesday of the month at Church End between and again on the second Saturday of the month at the primary school between

3 b) Abbey Road Appeal new dates are the 17 th and 18 th vember c) Proposed winter bye-way closures will now not include two wheeled motorized vehicles. d) Natwest mandate change complete, as is Barclays e) Came and Company business update sent to councillors prior to the meeting 8. Swingfield report J Haycock Bark under the baby swings and wooden equipment is low, bin needs emptying. 9. ROSPA report was circulated to all councillors prior to the meeting. It is proposed that the Clerk asks ROSPA how to prevent finger entrapment. Proposed J Haycock As bark has been found to be quite thin in areas, prices to replenish levels are as follows: 2 x 1000L bags of pine nuggets would cost (free delivery, expected within 2-3 working days) 30 x 70L bags of pine nuggets would cost (delivery as above) It is proposed that 30 70L bags are ordered immediately and that all available councillors help to spread it. Price of rubber chippings to replace play bark D Green In Cllr Greens absence, it is proposed that this is an item for the September meeting and the full cost of moving to either wet pour, grass guard or rubber chippings be investigated fully. Mowing of the banks on Broad Street and around the seat at the corner of High Street and Main Road. An extra 15 per cut has been quoted. The Clerk is to ask Highways about the ownership of the bank on Broad Street. The decision about the additional areas to be cut will be deferred until September.

4 13. Table and chairs to be used under the slide equipment C Munsey The clerk is to investigate what could be used and obtain prices for discussion at the September meeting. 14. Annual Parish Assembly attendance R Dixon Discussions were held around how the parish council communicates with the village generally. As several ideas (village s, village news noticeboard) were identified, it is suggested that this is a brainstorming session during the September meeting. 15. Speedwatch update A Jeskins Defer to next meeting 16. Tree Preservation Order query regarding chestnut trees on Main Road B Lynch To ensure the trees are adequately protected during any building work, the parish council will invite the developers to a Parish Council meeting to discuss the trees and their protection. 17. BDO audit report was issued to all councillors prior to the meeting. It is proposed that the asset register is updated as suggested by BDO. This rule will also apply to the new bench being donated by the History Society. 18. Report from Parish Clerks Forum was circulated to all councillors prior to the meeting. It is proposed that the Clerk asks SNC for their Safeguarding Policy to enable Syresham Parish Council to prepare their own. Proposed J Haycock 19. Report from Parish Special Constable summit was circulated to all councillors prior to the meeting. It is proposed that the Clerk requests a Knock and Drop event, but also requests that prior notice is given before they come to the village. Standing Orders suspended Report from Punch Taverns meeting was circulated to all councillors prior to the meeting. 21.
