4 Tour Itinerary Day 1, Thursday, 2 AUG This evening you will depart Australia flying with Singapore Airlines to London for your UK Royal Highlights Tour. Day 2, Friday, 3 AUG Upon arrival into the birthplace of The Beatles you will be met by your friendly guide and transferred to the hotel. This afternoon you are at leisure to explore the land of King and Queens. This evening you will have a Welcome Dinner at the hotel. Day 3, Saturday, 4 AUG After breakfast this morning grab your cameras as you will explore the city of London on a full day city tour. Drive over the iconic Tower Bridge, be dazzled by the breathtaking collection of the Crown Jewels at the Tower of London and view the Palace of Westminster. The last stop is a visit to Kensington Palace, currently the official residence of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. This evening you are free to explore the city in your own time. Day 4, Sunday, 5 AUG A day is just not enough to explore this exciting city, after breakfast you ll embark on another full day city tour with a local guide. Today you will discover the Banqueting House, an important building in the history of English architecture as the first structure to be completed in the neo- classical style. Walk in the footsteps of royalty with entrance to Buckingham palace. Visit Eltham Palace, currently an unoccupied royal residence but is said the Art Deco interior is a masterpiece of modern design. Return to your hotel and have the evening to yourself. Day 5, Monday, 6 AUG It s off to see some of the famous sights on the outskirts of London today. Windsor Castle has been the home of 39 monarchs, and the spectacular interior reflects the changing tastes of the castle occupants, particularly Charles II and George IV. Be astounded by the richly decorated Castle state rooms with a tour. You will head to Runnymede for a cruise on the river with a walk to the Magna Carta Memorial. The last stop for the day is a visit to one of King Henry VIII s favourite places, Hampton Court Palace and Gardens. Rest up on the coach ride back to London and enjoy the night at leisure. Day 6, Tuesday, 7 AUG Explore the city at your leisure with a free day today! Day 7, Wednesday, 8 AUG Regroup with the gang today after breakfast for a trip to the renowned Kew gardens and palace. Return to London and have the afternoon to enjoy your time at leisure. Later this evening you will be transferred to dinner at a local restaurant and then on to the theatre for a West End performance. Day 8, Thursday, 9 AUG Say goodbye to London as you travel to the village of Oxborough, famous for the manor Oxburgh Hall. Built around 1482 you will have a chance to enter and experience the country house with a tour. Then you will travel to Sandringham for an afternoon High Tea and a private tour of the house and gardens. You will be transferred to your hotel for the evening in Kings Lynn. Relax and unwind as tonight is yours to do as you wish. Stay: Dukes Head Hotel or similar Day 9, Friday, 10 AUG After breakfast this morning you will visit the magnificent Audley End house. Be astounded by one of the greatest houses of the early 17thcentury with a tour. From Saffron Walden you will travel to Berkhamstead to visit the castle ruins. 5 Day 10, Saturday, 11 AUG Pack your day bag as today will be a full day of touring as you begin with taking the ferry to Isle of Wright. You will arrive in Cowes and visit Osborne House. This elegant house was built for Queen Victoria and Prince Albert as a summer home and rural retreat. Queen Victoria died at Osborne House and the house was given to the state with a few rooms retained as a private museum to the Queen herself. You will then travel to Carisbrooke and visit the historic motteand bailey Castle. Along the way you will view the coloured sands and the famous needles. You will catch a ferry back to Lymington, crossing paths with views of the New Forest. After a full day of touring relax and enjoy your time at leisure this evening. Stay: The Winchester Hotel and Spa or Similar Day 11, Sunday, 12 AUG You ll set off this morning for Salisbury to visit the Clarendon Palace ruins, and then proceed to Tetbury for entrance to Highgrove House Gardens. Later this afternoon enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Tetbury. From the pretty town of Tetbury, you ll travel to Stokesay, where you will visit the fortified manor of Stokesay Castle. Then you will have an overnight stay in Shrewsbury the birthplace of Charles Darwin. Tonight will be yours to unwind. Stay: Prince Rupert Hotel or similar Day 12, Monday, 13 AUG Today you will travel by coach from Shrewsbury to Portmeirion, with entrance to the village, before continuing to Caernarfon. Then you will travel to (including stopping to view and pronounce the name of) the village with the longest place name in the UK (wait for it) Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch. You will then travel by coach to Holyhead where you will catch the ferry to Dublin and your next overnight stop (2 nights). Dinner will be enjoyed at your hotel this evening. Stay: Castle Hotel or Similar Day 13, Tuesday, 14 AUG Enjoy a full Irish breakfast before exploring Dublin with a city sights tour. You will visit the main sights of the city and visit the glorious Dublin Castle. This afternoon you will have time to explore the city at leisure. Stay: Castle Hotel or Similar Day 14, Wednesday, 15 AUG After breakfast, you will travel by coach to Hillsborough to visit the castle. The Hillsborough Castle is the official residence in Northern Ireland of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II when she visits the region. Then you will continue onto Belfast for a city sights tour, including entrance to the Titanic Exhibition. Stay: Malone Lodge Hotel or Similar Day 15, Thursday, 16 AUG It s time to transfer to Larne by coach for a ferry ride to Cairnryan in Scotland. You will then travel to Stirling to visit one of the largest and most important castles in Scotland, before continuing on to Perth for a 2 night stay. Dinner tonight will be in your hotel. 8 Travel Team Terms of Trade and Schedule of Fees PRICES Schedules and availability, fare conditions and prices can change at any time. Price changes may occur for reason or matters outside our control which increase the cost of the products or service. Such factors include adverse currency fluctuations, fuel surcharges, taxes and airfare increases. DEPOSITS Travel Team requires a booking deposit which is charged per person and deducted from your final balance. The deposit is non-refundable if you should cancel. i. 1st deposit for this tour is $1, per person and is due within 7 days of booking. ii. Final payment is due 100 days prior to departure. PAYMENTS All prices are based on payment by cash, direct deposit or cheque. A credit card surcharge of 1.41% for Visa, 0.91% for Visa Debit, 1.27% for Mastercard, 0.87% for Mastercard Debit and 3% for American Express Card applies if you elect to use them for payment. If you opt to make a direct deposit into our nominated bank account it may take at least 24 hours to be processed into our account. CANCELLATIONS, REFUNDS & AMENDMENTS Any cancellations of the Tour will result in the following cancellation fees: days or more prior to departure, loss of deposit plus the cost of the airline ticket if issued. - Less than 99 days prior to departure, 100% of the tour package price. Cancellation must be made in writing for your reservation to be cancelled. HEALTH & FITNESS/ACTIVITY LEVEL You must ensure that you are aware of any health requirements for your travel and that you are able to participate in the activities included in your itinerary. If you are unsure about your fitness to travel, please check with your GP or specialist clinic. Payment of deposit to Travel Team acts as a warranty that the traveller is reasonably healthy and/or fit to participate in the tour. Travel Team reserves the right to remove a traveller from a tour at the traveller's own expense, if their health/ fitness interferes with the tour or other travellers tour experience in any way. We do not, nor are we required to, provide carers or assistants for those with reduced mobility or other health needs. In particular, tour guides, coach drivers, and your fellow passengers will not act as assistants or carers in these circumstances. TRAVEL INSURANCE Travel Insurance is highly recommended for all travellers. Travel Team can assist with your travel insurance needs. Please ensure you take note of the special inclusions and exclusions as they may relate to your particular circumstances. Pre-existing Medical conditions and cover for these are approved or rejected by the Insurer. If you have taken out another Travel Insurance Policy or believe you have adequate cover from a credit card policy we will require a photocopy and details of the insurance cover that you hold. Please note that if you have insurance from another source and subsequently require our assistance in processing an insurance claim, this will incur a fee of at least $220. TRAVEL DOCUMENTATION Travel documents include (without limitation) airline tickets, hotel vouchers, tour vouchers or any other documentation used to confirm an arrangement with a service provider. Travel documents may be subject to certain conditions and/or restrictions including being non-refundable, non-changeable and subject to cancellation and/or amendment fees. These documents cannot be transferred to another person to use. All airline tickets must be issued in the name of the passport/photo id holder. An incorrect name on a booking may result in an inability to use that booking and it may be cancelled. Any errors in names, dates and timings on your documentation will be your responsibility if not advised at time of booking. As a general rule, your travel documents are issued by the service providers two weeks prior to departure. For any amendments after final payment a fee of $55 per document plus supplier fees will be charged. THIRD PARTY SUPPLIERS Our tour itinerary is a guide only and although we will make every reasonable effort to adhere to the programme, we reserve the right to make any alterations as necessary. Alterations may come about due to weather conditions, strikes, public holidays, local festivals, renovations and/or upgrades or other reasons. Any additional expense incurred by the passenger is not our responsibility. Your travel arrangements are subject to the booking conditions of each travel provider you are using. Travel Team is responsible for advising upon travel arrangements and making the bookings. Travel Team is not responsible for cancellations of tours, loss or damage directly or indirectly caused by the airline or suppliers and other transport delays or reschedules, or insolvency, loss or damage to person, property delays, accidents, acts of war and force majeure impacting upon your travel arrangements. Travel Team acts only as an agent. Airfares included in your package holiday are provided in economy class. Travel Team cannot be responsible for seating allocation. PRIVACY STATEMENT Your contact information will be required by third party suppliers to accept and confirm a booking. Privacy Laws safeguard your personal details from being distributed for marketing purposes. Your information may be used by Travel Team for the purpose of relaying travel related information about you to third parties. You agree that our Travel Team representative or third party suppliers may take photographs of you while you are on holiday and that these may be used in our Group Brochures and/or advertising, publicity material or online without obtaining any further consent or payments in respect of such photographs and/or films.
