INNOVATION LISBON STREET OFFICE CIVIC A64(M) LEEDS ARENA AND GRAND RETAIL AND LEISURE CIVIC Mixed use destination including the city council s headquarters, Leeds City Museum, Carriageworks theatre. Central to the district is multi-purpose public realm at Millennium Square which hosts major outdoor events and activities. ARENA AND GRAND The 13,500 capacity First Direct Arena is one of the busiest multi-entertainment music venues in the UK, and was the UK s first purpose built super-theatre arena. Voted the best new venue in the world in 2014, the arena attracts over 1m visitors per annum, there are potential development opportunities in its vicinity. In close proximity, the Council is developing the vision for regeneration around the Grand Theatre. Opera North England s National Opera company is located here.
