NHSCOT is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1975 dedicated to promoting and preserving the Gaelic culture. The New Hampshire Highland Games & Festival (NHHG&F) is the organization s premier event, with the NHSCOT Fund being equally important to the organization as it helps to fund workshops, lectures and performances furthering our mission. In addition, NHSCOT created the Scottish Scholarship Fund with an endowment of over $270,000 to be awarded in scholarships in the study of all aspects of Gaelic culture. CLAN PARADE History The New Hampshire Highland Games & Festival (NHHG&F), started as a clan picnic in 1975, has grown to become one of the largest and most diverse commemorations of Scottish arts and culture in North America. Throughout the 3-day event, held annually on the 3 rd weekend of September, 30,000 visitors and participants are engaged in a unique celebration of Scottish music, food and drink, National competitions, dance and heritage.
