2 award winning velocity named customer magazine of the year Velocity has been named as the Customer Magazine of the Year by the Professional Publishers Association (PPA) at the year-end Independent Publisher Awards. Emerging victorious from a clutch of shortlisted titles including the 2009 winner, Think Publishing s Beer magazine (for CAMRA), Morrisons Magazine and the highly-decorated Completely London published for the estate agency Kinleigh, Folkard and Hayward, Velocity said the judges was an absolute clear winner. They continued: Stream Publishing created a unique journal format, providing the airline with a beautiful and intelligent magazine. With fantastic design and perfect brand synergy, the magazine features interesting articles about interesting people. Wonderfully unpredictable, this magazine absolutely knows its audience and stood out in its field. The judges wanted to take it away with them! Darren Styles, Managing Director of Stream Publishing, said: Our editorial and visual concept was so strong at the pitch stage we placed it before the client asking them not to change a thing. To CityJet s great credit they embraced our points of difference from a 3000-word lead feature intended to anchor the editorial proposition to a journal format that sits mid-way between a book and magazine. The publisher will not accept responsibility for errors in output or positioning if a proof is not supplied. PDFs Our preferred method of supply. PDFs must be produced to the PPA industry-standard format, pass4press, and flight checked. Details can be found on DPS ads should be supplied as two single pages. APPLICATIONS We will only accept advertisements designed with the following professional software packages and produced to printing industry standards: Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop. Application files must be supplied with all supporting files, fonts (screen and printer), images etc. It is the responsibility of the sender to ensure all elements are included. All images must be high resolution to a minimum of 300 DPI. All colour must be CMYK, NOT RGB, Pantone or spot. Please DO NOT JPEG or compress any images within the file. Application-generated postscript or EPS files fonts must be embedded or outlined. All colour must be CMYK and all images must be to the correct size and resolution. TrueType fonts should be avoided. If bleed is required, ensure it is allowed for on the document. In Photoshop and other applications, do not embed any special colour profiles or ICC colour management settings. Half-page trim size: 186mm x 118mm Quarter-page trim size: 91mm x 118mm INTERNET We would advise against downloading material direct from a website as quality is often poor and does not produce well in a printed format.
