How much does a 'car boot' space cost? A. Discount price of $30.00 for pre-paid car bookings; $35 for car & trailer (discount must be pre-paid); or $35.00 for car & $45.00 for car & trailer - pay on the day bookings necessary. Q. How big is the space? A. Approx. 3m x 3m (about the size of an average car space). Q. What time does the Car Boot Sale Start and End? A am to 3.00pm all cars have to be in and set up by 9.30 am to ensure safety of 'customers', Q. Can I leave early? A. No - due to pedestrian safety. Q. Where is it held Marsfield Park Culloden Road, Marsfield. Q. What can I sell? A. Anything, except food, illegal, dangerous or offensive goods. You can sell both new and used items. Please note that if you sell electrical items, you will need an electrician's certificate certifying that the item is in working order, Q. Can I set up a food stall? A. No - you cannot sell food on site. RDA RYDE will be running a bbq, canteen for refreshments and cake stall, etc. Q. Can I set up a table or gazebo/umbrella/ awning? A. Yes, it is recommended to bring table or something similar to set up your goods. A chair and covering will make it more comfortable for you. There is some shade, but not all spaces are under the trees. Coverings should not be bigger than your space. Q. What's the best time to set up? A. Between 8.00am and 9.30 am (before the buyers arrive) Q. Can I choose a particular spot? A. No due to safety cars will be directed as they arrive by Marshalls. Q. Can I bring a trailer? A. Yes however trailer spaces must be pre-booked and cost for car and trailer is $35.00 trailer spaces are limited. Tell us when you book, as there is an area reserved or trailers, but spaces are limited for this. Q. Can I get tea/coffee and/or breakfast and lunch there? A. RDA Ryde will be running a BBQ, canteen for refreshments and cake stall. Q. Are there toilets on the site? A. Yes toilets located in the RDA multi-function centre building.

You keep it with you on your space. Q. What happens if it rains? A. If it is raining we will go ahead (please bring covers for your stall); 0. Can I get more than one spot? A. Yes, you can have as many as you like just let us know when you book and pre-pay. Q. Where do I enter the site? A. Double gates in Culloden Road next to the Macquarie University Village housing. (Please see map at end of this information sheet) Q. How do I know if there will be a space for me? A. It is recommended you book as early as possible, but still contact us right up to the day before as there may be cancellations. Q. Is alcohol allowed on the site? A. No Q. How do I know which spot to go to? A. We will have people directing you as you come in. Q. Rubbish, Waste Materials & Unsold Goods? A. All rubbish & unsold goods are to be taken off the site when you leave. Q. Dogs? A. It is preferred that dogs are not bought to the Car Boot Sale with the exception of Guide and Assistance Dogs as there will be Pony Rides and Clydesdale carriage rides on the day. Any dogs entering Marsfield Park must be kept on a lease and owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs. Q. How many customers are there? A. It is expected to be very busy in the morning with a continuous flow of people during the day. There is also the added attraction of The Easter Fair which will encourage more people to come on the day.

Where is the car boot sale advertised? A. Banners have been displayed at major intersections, leaflets distributed and letter box dropped around the local area, north shore and other areas, electronic network distribution, local school news letters and articles in local newspapers, posters in the local and major shopping centres. We can provide posters for you personally to advertise this event.
