2 History In 1897 my great grandfather (Sydney) founded the company as an Engineer s Merchant with a brand of service that has been the family business ethos ever since. In 1902 after initially trading from a small local warehouse, the company moved to the then purpose built premises in Batten Street, Leicester. These same premises after modernisation served as the headquarters until 2016 when the company HQ relocated to Blaby, Leicestershire. Steve Smith
