B Saturday 23rd February 2019 Wakefield Food, Drink & Rhubarb Festival Wakefield is part of the Rhubarb Triangle, an area of West Yorkshire that has grown the best quality forced rhubarb for hundreds of years. It s so good Yorkshire Forced Rhubarb has received protected name status alongside other famous delicacies such as Parma Ham and Champagne. Rhubarb becomes stalk of the town every February as the city comes alive with a vibrant celebration of the pink vegetable. The Wakefield Festival of Food, Drink & Rhubarb returns from February 2019 where the city centre streets will be bursting with colourful market stalls selling speciality food and drink with an abundance of tasty samples to try. With lively street entertainment, a family rhubarb trail, guided walks, and lots rhubarb related fun Wakefield Festival of Food, Drink & Rhubarb promises to be a fantastic day out for everyone. D Tuesday 5th March 2019 Shrewsbury & Sabrina Goddess of the River Cruise First we visit Shrewsbury, within a loop of the meandering River Severn, at the heart of Shropshire, a landscape that inspires with its beauty and mystery. Explore Shrewsbury's picturesque cobbled alleys and squares and be astounded by the exceptional number of interesting independent shops that makes Shrewsbury's shopping so special. Around every corner is a great cafe restaurant or pub, to drop in and enjoy. Today the market will be on. After free time in Shrewsbury we will then depart to board the Sabrina Goddess Of The River Cruise, where you will be able to relax your feet as we cruise along the River Severn on a 45 minute cruise, where tea, coffee and biscuits will be served before returning to the coach to depart for home. D DATE FOR YOUR DIARY: WEDNESDAY 29TH MAY 2019 RAVENGLASS RAILWAY & MUNCASTER CASTLE Tuesday 26th February 2019 Dewlay Cheese Factory & Barton Grange Garden Centre In the morning we visit the Dewlay Cheese Factory in Garstang where we will be greeted with refreshments, before a history of Dewlay and a guided tour along the viewing gallery before a cheese tasting. The tour lasts up to 2 hours, and you will then have some time to browse the Cheese shop before we depart to Barton Grange Garden Centre where we will spend the afternoon. Barton Grange Garden Centre From the main entrance, through all the departments, the outdoor plant area, restaurants and even the toilets, the garden centre oozes style and originality. The outdoor plant area has a roof which closes when it rains so you can shop for plants whatever the weather. Barton Grange has its own Cook Shop selling professional cookware and beautiful things for your kitchen. There is a gorgeous home décor department and Gift Shop. There are two eateries, the self service Riverside Café and table service Willows Restaurant, so you can really make a day of it. And finally, the Barton Grange Farm Shop offers individually sourced local produce alongside fine foods from the UK and beyond. It has a butchery, bakery, fresh fruit and vegetables and a separate sweet shop selling all sorts of goodies and speciality chocolates. After free time in Keswick we depart to spend the remainder of the afternoon in Ambleside. Ambleside, one of the jewels of the Lakes, is set in the centre of the Lake District at the head of Lake Windermere. Blessed with beautiful scenery, this bustling town provides everything a visitor could want from the numerous shops, to the many drinking and eating establishments. C Saturday 27th April 2019 Harrogate or Harrogate Spring Flower Show (Admission not included) Come with us to Harrogate where you can peruse the local shops or visit the Harrogate Flower Shows, widely regarded as one of the biggest and most prestigious independent shows in the gardening year. C Sunday 28th April 2019 Bakewell Food Festival Held in the picturesque town of Bakewell, the Food Festival promises to be a real celebration of locally sourced produce, tasty dishes and delicious drinks. More than 70 different stalls that will be erected throughout the town, with a real focus on the best that Derbyshire has to offer when it comes to food and drink. James McKay will also be making an appearance with his owls that featured in Harry Potter! The town s historic building s such as the Church and the Old House Museum will be fully opening their doors and across the town, there will be other venues hosting craft and gift fairs. Each year the event has had a wartime theme & many have thoroughly enjoyed it. D Tuesday 28th May 2019 Stratford upon Avon Stratford-upon-Avon, located in England s West Midlands, is a medieval market town with more than 800 years of history, containing many original buildings that still survive today, and is the 16th-century birthplace of William Shakespeare. The Company reserves the right to cancel any excursion or holiday should bookings be insufficient and a full refund will be given. 2. Should you wish to cancel your booking with the Company the following cancellation charges will apply. Over five days prior to the departure date-20% of ticket fare Between five days and 48 hours prior to departure-50% of ticket fare. Within 48 hours to departure date-100% of ticket fare. 3. Tickets may be transferred to an alternative departure date, subject to the company s approval and date available. This transfer must be undertaken within one month of the original booking date. A transfer charge of 3.00 per passenger will apply to cover administration charges. 4. The Company cannot guarantee the same numbered seats given as on the ticket issued as operational circumstances may necessitate alterations. 5. The prices shown are per passenger per seat. 6. irrespective of age. Seat belts are fitted to all vehicles to DVSA standards. Where children are concerned a seat belt must be worn for the duration of the journey. 7.The consumption of alcohol and smoking is prohibited onboard our coaches. 8. The Company shall not be liable for loss to the passenger from stoppages of work howsoever caused, preventing performance of the excursion. -loss of luggage or any personal belongings. -breakdowns of the Company s vehicles, -the Company hereby limits its liability resulting from the excursion to the value of the ticket purchased. 9.. All information published is checked to ensure accuracy at the time of publication and the Company cannot accept responsibility for any unforeseen circumstances. 10. Any passengers that miss their departure and require a transfer to the coach will be charged a flat fare of In the unlikely event that you are unhappy with your experience then please telephone us immediately to register your compliant. You must then send a written complaint or to us within 14 days from the date of the day trip or holiday. 12. We reserve the right to curtail or amend any of our day excursions including those included as part of a tour due to inclement weather. In this eventuality we will offer a substitute as close to the advertised itinerary as possible. 13.We reserve the right to cancel, curtail or postpone the departure of any day excursion or holiday due to severe inclement weather or other reason that will affect the performance of the trip and put the safety of our passengers into jeopardy. 14. Please note that our number one priority is the safety of our passengers, staff and vehicles. We reserve the right to re-route our vehicles to ensure that we are using the safest routes available to us.
