Today, it is the site of the Norfolk Broads Yacht Club, while it is also a stone s throw away from the Bure Marshes National Nature Reserve, which is part of Britain s biggest wetland with its broads, ditches and rivers. Wroxham boasts its own department store, Roy s, which was founded in 1899, while the village also has a number of pubs and restaurants, many of which enjoy beautiful riverside views. Nearby, Wroxham Barns is a great day out for all the family, with its shops and eateries plus children s farm, mini golf and fun fair. Youngsters will also love BeWILDerwood, a forest adventure park featuring treehouses, zip wires and jungle bridges. For football fans, the village has its own team, Wroxham FC. Wroxham is served by St John s Community Primary School and Nursery, while older pupils are catered for at Broadland High School. Both are situated less than two miles away from Wherry Gardens. The village has good transport links, by road via the A47, and with trains running between Norwich and Sheringham from nearby Hoveton and Wroxham Railway Station.
