1 DONCASTER BOROUGH COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS, DONCASTER) (MOVING TRAFFIC) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 009 (AMENDMENT NO. ) ORDER 08 Doncaster Borough Council ( the Council ) in exercise of its powers under Sections, and of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 98 ( the Act ), and all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act, hereby makes the following Order:- The Doncaster Borough Council (Various Roads, Doncaster) (Moving Traffic) (Consolidation) Order 009 shall have the effect as though:- (i) The following item was included in Schedule 5.0 of the Order Prohibited Turns Column Column Column 3 HIGH STREET Left turn Silver Street (ii) the following item was included in Schedule 6.0 of the Order One Way Streets SILVER STREET DONCASTER From its junction with High Street in a north-easterly direction to its junction with Sunny Bar North Easterly This Order shall come into operation on the day of 08 and may be cited as the Doncaster Borough Council (Various Roads, Doncaster) (Moving Traffic) (Traffic Regulation Consolidation) Order 009 (Amendment No. ) Order 08. 2 PROPOSED TRAFFIC ORDERS ASSOCIATED WITH THE QUALITY STREET SCHEME FOR SILVER STREET DONCASTER STATEMENT OF REASON The proposed traffic regulation order is necessary to facilitate the redevelopment of Silver Street. The proposed removal of the majority of vehicular traffic on the roads will create a pedestrian friendly environment thereby contributing to road safety in the area while maintaining access for public transport.

3 DONCASTER BOROUGH COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS, DONCASTER) (MOVING TRAFFIC) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 009 (AMENDMENT NO. ) ORDER 08 Notice is hereby given that Doncaster Borough Council propose to make an Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 98 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the Order will be to:- I. introduce the length of one way street specified the Schedule to this Notice; and II. introduce a prohibited left turn manoeuvre from High Street into Silver Street A copy of the proposed Order together with a map showing the restricted roads and statement of the Council s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be examined at (i) the Council offices, Civic Office, Waterdale, Doncaster between 8.5 a.m. and.5 p.m. Monday to Friday and (ii) The Central Library Waterdale Doncaster during normal opening hours. If you wish to object to the proposed Order you should send the grounds for your objection in writing quoting reference number L/CP/668 to the undersigned by the 0 th day of December 08.
