3 Fun in the water We have a whole range of exciting and unusual features, which means we have to be a little stricter with our guidelines. Admission policy Flumes/River Run For those aged 4 and under: There must be at least one adult in the water for every child in the water. To ensure operational safety, the flumes and river run operate on at intervals. Depending on staffing, they switch round every 30 or 40 minutes. For those aged 5 to 8 years: There must be at least one adult in the water supervising two children. Please speak to a member of staff for the rotations on the day. For those aged 9 years and over: Can enter unaccompanied. Wave machine River Run Due to the deep, fast flowing and white water on some parts of the river run only strong swimmers are allowed. No swimmers wearing arm bands are allowed on this feature. If the lifeguard on river run duty is unsure of whether a child is a strong swimmer, they will ask the child to do a swim test. Please do not be offended if this happens as the lifeguard is responsible for the safety of the bathers and must be certain that all bathers using the river run will be safe. Please note that during busy periods we operate by timed sessions. Minimum session time is 1 hour 15 minutes. The waves start at 10.15am and run at quarter past the hour and quarter to the hour. They operate for 5 minutes each time. All bathers are reminded to stay away from the walls whilst the waves are in motion. All weak, non swimmers and bathers in arm bands must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Fast Flow Channel The fast flow channel is turned off while the waves are on. Whilst the waves are off the fast flow channel is operational. All weak, non swimmers and bathers wearing arm bands must be accompanied by an adult at all times whilst in the fast flow. Spa pool To ensure good quality bathing water the Spa pool operates at intervals. Please speak to a member of staff the rotations on the day.
