2 The Conference Thank you for registering for the WLSA s fourth Student Conference which takes place from July 2018 in Jeju, South Korea. We know students and chaperones are coming from around the world so if flights aren t available during the registration windows you may arrive on July 15th any time after 18:00 and can depart the venue on July 22nd before 11:00 am but please note there will be no programme on these days. Please review and keep this information pack. We look forward to welcoming you all to Jeju where you will be joined by fellow students from WLSA Associate schools around the world. 3 The Travel Information Visa Invitation Letters You may need a Visa to enter Korea. Please find information about your Visa Requirements on If you require a Visa Invitation Letter you should have indicated during registration, if you are in need please wlsa.programmes@gmail.com with your inquiry. Parent and Guardian Consent Form & Medical Conditions Form If you have not already completed the Parent and Guardian Consent Form and the Medical Conditions Form, please do so as soon as possible and send your completed forms to us at wlsa.programmes@gmail.com Vaccinations Please seek advice about recommendations in your home country regarding vaccinations that may be required for South Korea prior to your trip. Travel and Medical Insurance Please arrange travel insurance that includes medical expenses incurred during travel, if this is not covered by your existing insurance policies. We recommend that you carry the information about your insurance(s) on a small card with you during travel, including company name, policy number, dates of validity, international phone numbers, the names of any pre-existing medical conditions you have, and the phone number of your regular primary care physician. *Please be sure that you have reported any dietary restrictions and allergies on your registration form! Airport pick-up and drop-off Airport pick-up and drop-off will be arranged for all delegates. Delegates will be picked-up from Jeju International Airport and taken to the accommodations. We will request your (international) travel information by May 1st. For last minute changes, please inform wlsa.programmes@gmail.com and your staff chaperone, if you have one. Your airport pick-up driver s phone number and name will be provided to you, and you will be greeted at the airport. If your group will not have a functioning phone, please keep an eye out for the driver with a sign with your name(s), and have the driver s mobile number on hand!

4 The Program Programme An updated programme will be sent to you shortly and made available on our event s webpage. The current version is available via the website and has been sent to your school previously via . If you have any questions, please contact us at wlsa.programmes@gmail.com Volunteering If you indicated interest in volunteering during the conference, we will be in touch with you during the coming weeks. If you have not yet given any indication about whether you are interested in a small volunteer position for the cultural and or the conference activities please let us know via wlsa.programmes@gmail. com.

5 The Accommodation Dormitory accommodations are provided at the KIS Campus and will house the students, two to a room, decided by the programme organizers. Chaperones will receive single occupancy dormitories in the student dorms and some may have single occupancy in a student dorm. Each dorm comes with an ensuite bathroom. Meals Meals will be served buffet style 3x daily. There will be vegetarian and vegan options available. If you do have an allergy it should have been reported during registration for the conference. There will also be a snack bar available on campus open from 8:00-18:00 as well as a 24 hour mart available to purchase snacks near the campus. Laundry There are washing machines available to use but you must bring your own detergent. The Packing List Cultural & Recreational Activities and Sports You may wish to bring sports kit with you if you wish to make use of the various recreational activities and if you are participating in the sports events. We will be doing some light trekking and this is the rainy season so we recommend non-slip shoes and a rain jacket. Student Conference Business casual: smart trousers or knee length skirt with dress shirt. Short-sleeved dress shirts (open-necked without tie or jackets) are strongly recommended. Be advised that although the venue will be air conditioned, it will be very hot and humid outside. No flip flops, low-cut shirts, or thin/spaghetti strapped tops Skirts should cometo the knee. Pool There will be access to the school pool 2 hours per day. We ask you respect the school etiquette and bring a one piece suit for ladies and shorts for men. You must use a swim cap when in the pool, so please bring one with you as well as a pool towel.

6 The Local Items Currency It is recommended that you bring a small amount of local currency with you (approximately 150,000 KRW) to Jeju to avoid a situation in which a bank does not recognise your bank card. Generally, Visa and Master Card debit cards are recognised by ATMs at major US banks, but it is useful to have cash on hand if a hotel or dormitory requires a small cash deposit for a key or for other incidental expenses and purchases during the preconference cultural activities, such as souvenirs. Electricity International visitors are advised to bring a converter/adaptor for plugs, such as cell phone chargers and laptop computers.

7 The Important Stuff PLEASE SEND TO WLSA OFFICE THE FOLLOWING ITEMS: Passport Please make sure your passport has at least 6 months validity left upon entering the country. Also please send a scanned copy of your passport photo page. Flight Details Please make sure you send your flight details once arrangements have been made, and no later by May 1st to ensure airport pick up.
