July 3 rd 6 th Welcome Juvenescence Campers! Get to know each other while crafting, creating, playing games, and singing silly camp songs. Round em up Cowboys! July 9 th 13 th Howdy fellow City slickers! All the Buckaroos will have a rootin tootin time at the Hull Homes Stampede Breakfast, then we ll mosey on down to Calaway Park to whoop it up on the midway. All the Cowgirls and Cowboys will throw down at our hoedown to Round up the week. See ya ll there. When Nature Calls! July 16 th 20 th Specialty Trip: Camp Woods Embark on some exciting adventures this week as we hike the trails in Canmore, visit Fish Creek Park, and canoe on the Glenmore Reservoir. Helping Hands! July 23 rd 27 th We love our community! Bring your helping hands to our annual food bank drive for the Calgary food bank. Let s explore our community helpers and heroes with visits from some special community helpers. What fun ideas can the kids come up with this week to be a HELPING HAND in the community? Let s wrap up the week with a trip to Calaway Park to celebrate our community helpers. Invention Convention July 30 th August 3 rd All your favourite summer fun activities from goopy goo, blowing things up, to your favourite games, crafts and water fun activities. We will also be traveling to the Calgary Zoo to visit the animals in their habitats. 1

2 Marine Oasis August 7 th 10 th Pack your swim suits campers! This week we will be travelling to Odgen Pool for a dip. Then it s off to Calaway Park for some water rides! We will end the week with some wacky water activities. Lazy Days! August 13 th 17 th Specialty Trip: Grassy Lakes Hike Oh the Lazy days of summer.. the kids will create their own board games, play wacky Monster mini golf, and then visit Riley park to swim, play games and have a picnic. Mission Impossible Week August 20 th 24 th Are you ready for impossible challenges? Mission Impossible, mazes, and team challenges! We will be finishing the week off with a trip to Calaway Park. Summer Celebration! August 27 th August 31 st We know the parents are excited..and you should be too! Let s wrap up the summer with a CARNIVAL full of challenges, water activities, games and prizes! In a few short days you ll be meeting new teachers and friends make beaded back pack tags, play at the water park and enjoy the last days of summer. EACH WEEK OF CAMP INCLUDES 2 3 FIELD TRIPS/WEEK! Camp Hours are from 7:00am 6:00pm * Arrive by 9:00 so you won t miss any of the planned activities. Don t forget to print yourself off the 2018 Summer Registration package. It has oodles of info to make this summer a breeze. Check out our Parent Handbook online for more information about Juvenescence Programs. 3 SUMMER REGISTRATION INFO 2018 Welcome to Juvenescence Summer Camp Thank you for choosing Juvenescence. We are proud to offer creative camps where children can explore their interests through play and recreation. Fully licensed and accredited, our Out of School Care Program strives to offer smaller group sizes and creative staff certified in Child Care, First Aid/CPR with completed Police Record Checks. Children are encouraged to share their ideas to add to the summer fun, meet new friends and explore all the fun Calgary has to offer. Join us for a summer full of sun, fun, friends and adventure. Summer Camp involves crafts, games, swimming/water play, and a variety of field trips. Each week will have an exciting theme to add variety to each week s activities. Children will also have opportunity to participate in sports, dance, science, cooking and photography. Important Camp Information Dear Parents and Campers this checklist was created just for you. Please use it to prepare for a Summer of Fun! WATER BOTTLE A NON WARM UP LUNCH (NO MICROWAVE AVAILABLE) WITH PLENTY OF HEALTHY, NUT FREE SNACKS TO PROVIDE ENERGY TO PLAY. BACK PACK APPROPRIATE FOOTWEAR FOR RUNNING AND PLAYING. CROCS AND FLIP FLOPS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED FOR MOST ACTIVITIES. DRESS FOR THE WEATHER THERE WILL BE LOTS OF OUTDOOR PLAY SWIMSUIT AND TOWEL, LIFE JACKET SUNSCREEN & BUG SPRAY HAT TO WEAR DAILY 3

4 Payments: PAD/Post Dated Cheques dated for July 3 rd and August 1 st are required to register for camp. Specialty Trips can be paid by cash or on a separate cheque dated the day of the activity. Specialty Trips cannot be added to PAD payments. All NSF payments will be subject to a $50.00 fee. Subsidy available for those requiring financial aid Cancellations & Refund Policy: May 11 th Last day to make changes, 100% Refund Submit changes to camp registration in writing. Changes received after May 11 th will not be eligible for a refund. Exceptions will be made for medical reasons and are at the Director s discretion. Please check for the summer calendar. The calendar of events has important information about all the fun we will be having this summer including field trip times. Although the calendar serves at a guide to each day s events, we reserve the right to amend, switch, add or cancel activities without notice, due to weather, safety or children s interests. Parents will be informed of changes as soon as possible. Registration opens the public April 30 th 2018, so return your registration and payment information ASAP to guarantee your spot. We welcome everyone to spread the word about our summer programs to friends and neighbours. We look forward to making this a fun filled summer for all. 4
