As the city works to align itself with Ontario s Growth Plan, they have targeted the land in and around Masonry Street for hyper-intensification. In fact the City of Burlington has a plan to create a mobility hub in and around each of its train stations, including the Aldershot Go Station. According to RealNet Canada Inc., there is only one future low-rise development coming soon (2014 & 2015 launch) to Burlington. Currently there are only three active low-rise developments and only one is offering townhouses (as of May 2014). There have only been six low-density land sales in Burlington over $1 million dollars over the past five years, and only two of them were larger than the Masonry site, which is approximately 13 acres.

ADI Development Group will bring its fresh, urban design approach to this project, which will appeal to young families looking for stylish and affordable housing that offers a variety of options and routes for commuting to work. In fact sales have fallen 63% since the year 2000, not because of lack of demand, but because of supply constraints. Burlington is no exception to the constraint in housing supply across the GTA. Every year there are significantly less new ground-oriented homes to buy in Burlington.
