3 Status Update Key Points What is 3D Design? No different than our current design, just new and better tools Software manages the 3D model True modeling Changes made to one component of the model are automatically carried through to the rest of the model Not necessarily visualization What are 3D plans? For now plans will remain exactly the same. But we can now provide the contractor with the model for bid preparation and machine guidance In the future we will move to Building Information Modeling (BIM) Why is 3D Design Better? Design-time visualization to the designer Ability to work scenarios much faster Stakeholders can make more informed decisions 3
