4 OUR RIVERBOAT In the shadow of the Himalayas on India s exotic river, the Brahmaputra, we chosen the best and most beautiful expedition riverboat in the region, the MV Mahabaahu. With only 45 total guests and designed for this remote section of India, this riverboat will offer us a wonderful experience as we explore the flora & fauna along this mighty river. This section of the Brahmaputra passes right by Kaziranga National Park, a World Heritage Site. This park hosts two-thirds of the world s one-horned Rhinoceros and the largest concentration of tigers in the world. The Mahabaahu has a total of five decks. The facilities include a swimming pool, spa, restaurant and an open-top deck where you can watch the busy life of the waterside villages pass by as well as watch for wildlife. Along with the onboard naturalists and guides, we will step ashore to explore remote villages and amazing natural landscapes. This section of the tour even includes a safari morning on elephant-back. We will spend a week of the India tour in this very remote northeastern section of the country in a true off-the-beaten-path relaxing experience that is far away from tourist crowds, a true once-in-a-lifetime adventure in a part of India few know exist.
