4 SOUTHERN HIGHWAYS PROGRAM INTRODUCTION Creating Jobs and Building a Stronger Ontario In 2017/18, the Ontario government will be investing more than $2.5 billion to repair and expand provincial highways and bridges. This includes almost $1.9 billion for Southern Ontario creating or sustaining approximately 13,300 direct and indirect jobs.
