Ako môžeš vidieť, aj zábavný park Morey s Piers je situovaný len pár metrov od oceánu v rušnej turistickej lokalite štátu New Jersey, čiže keď vytiahneš nohy z vody, oprášiš plavky od piesku a nahodíš na nohy svoje flip-flops, do New York City to máš približne dva a pol hodiny autom. Ak by si chcel zase počas svojich days off vyskúšať svoje šťastie v hre a zažiť atmosféru starej dobrej Ameriky a mesta hriechu zo slávnych Al Caponeho čias, nezabudni navštíviť Atlantic City, čiže Las Vegas východného pobrežia, ktoré je od Morey s Piers vzdialené len 50 minút autom. Ak zistíš, že nemáš šťastie v hre ale v láske, hahááá, skús radšej zmeniť prostredie a vyčisti si hlavu prechádzkou po slávnych Streets of Philadelphia, v ktorých určite zistíš, prečo Bruce Springsteen zložil jeden zo svojich najväčších hitov práve o tomto meste. Ku slávnym Rockyho schodom a Zvonu slobody to máš z Wildwoods autom len necelé dve hodinky. A ak ťa atmosféra histórie očarí, odporúčame zviesť sa do mesta, kde sa dejiny nielen písali, ale stále sa aj píšu. Doslovne. Hlavné mesto Spojených štátov Washington DC je od tvojho potencionálneho zamestnávateľa vzdialené len 3,5 hodiny autom. A nezabudni, vstup do všetkých múzeí v meste je zdarma,

Koho hľadáme: - študentov s komunikatívnou angličtinou a príchodom do USA najneskôr , - pracovať musíš minimálne do a prihlásiť sa môžu aj skupinky až do 6 študentov. 3 Morey s Piers Morey s Piers is a family owned amusement business that operates 3 amusement piers and 2 waterparks. We are located on the boardwalk in Wildwood, New Jersey overlooking the magnificent beaches and Atlan c Ocean. We are within a 3.5 hour drive of NYC, Washington D.C., and Philadelphia. Everything in town is easily accessible and within walking distance of accommoda ons and work. Many students reside in the area during the summer months, and the environment is very student friendly. We organize trips to NYC, Washington DC, Bal more, the Niagara Falls, Boston, etc., as well as ou ngs to baseball games, local points of interest, etc. We also provide group ac vi es such as barbeques, themed par es, spor ng compe ons, etc. Morey s Piers is a team environment! Last year we hired par cipants from more than 25 different countries and all over the U.S. This is a great place to experience the U.S. culture, prac ce your English and make lots of new friends! 4 Job Descrip ons: Ride Operators will be working at various rides and a rac ons, including roller coasters, children s rides, extreme rides or dark a rac ons. Du es may include but are not limited to opera ng the controls of the ride, monitoring the ride in mo on, assis ng guests on and off the rides which may include li ing children and buckling seatbelts and/or safety harnesses, enforcing ride height and safety requirements, etc. Ride Operator training and cer fica on are provided on site. Lifeguard posi ons available late May through early September. Team members work outdoors in our aqua c areas and have high guest interac on. Lifeguards will be rotated throughout the day to monitor various aqua c areas (visually scanning pools, dispatching riders at the top of waterslides, assis ng guests into and out of ra s and tubes, etc) and will be required to pay close a en on to the swimmers in their area to prevent and respond to aqua c emergencies. Employees must be available to work in varying weather (rain, wind, cold temperatures, direct sunlight or high heat and humidity). Lifeguard cer fica on is provided on site, no experience or prior cer fica on necessary. Lifeguards must a end on site weekly training sessions to maintain their cer fica on. The waterparks are not open full me un l mid June. If you are hired as a lifeguard, you are agreeing to work in another posi on, of Morey's Piers choosing, during those mes when the waterpark is closed and/or in addi on to your waterpark hours. If by some reason you are not available to work in your original posi on, Morey s Piers may or may not move you into another posi on, based on our staffing needs. *The swim and vision tests are a prerequisite for the lifeguard training class. All lifeguards must have 20/25 vision (correc ve glasses/lenses are permi ed). During the swim test you will be required to swim 200 yards (183 meters) in our pool (either free style or breaststroke, no me limit). A er you finish the swim por on, you must retrieve a 10 lb. (4.5Kg) diving brick from the bo om of a 10 (3M) pool and bring it to the top. Food Services employees work in a variety of food areas as either cashiers, cooks, bussers, prep, etc. They are required to perform various food and beverage related tasks which may include, but are not limited to: preparing/serving food and drinks, opera ng a cash register, maintaining and cleaning all food service areas, etc. Game Operators manage and operate various midway games of chance and skill. Team members try to get guests to play the game by interac ng and talking to them. Games range from spinning wheels to basketball shots to water pistol races. Admissions employees handle sales transac ons and assist guests with park info and concerns. Some will be cross trained in our Retail department and will work in a variety of souvenir and ride photo outlets. Among their many roles are cashiering, sales, merchandising, and high guest interac on. *No prior experience or training necessary for any of the jobs. All training is done on site. Must be able to work individually or on a team. Must be flexible and work when/where you are needed.

5 Addi onal Work Requirements: If your agreement dates extend beyond the opera ng dates for your posi on/facility, or if there is a staffing need, you will be assigned to another posi on and/or another facility. If by some reason you are not able to work in your original posi on, Morey's Piers may or may not move you into another posi on, based on our staffing needs. In other words, you must work your agreement dates. All posi ons require employees to work outdoors and to either stand or move around throughout the shi. Shi s may vary from 6 to 13 hours. Employees must be available to work in varying weather (rain, wind, cold temperatures, direct sunlight or high heat and humidity). The noise level in the work environment is usually loud and the lights are bright. All employees will perform physical ac vi es that require moving one's whole body, such as li ing, balancing, climbing, and stooping or bending. These ac vi es also require considerable use of the arms, back and legs. All lifeguards are required to visually scan pools by moving their head up and down and side to side throughout the day. Employees may be required to li, push, pull, or carry objects up to 50 lbs on a repeated basis. They must be able to work with cleaning agents and chemicals. Employees must be in good physical health. Throughout our en re opera ng season, all posi ons require employees to assist in keeping the park clean. This may include, but is not limited to sweeping, cleaning the area around the park, cleaning on the beach around the park, scrubbing, mopping, dus ng, polishing, power washing, vacuuming, waxing, skimming, etc. All employees are expected to assist in this area and at mes, will be assigned to these du es as a part of their shi. *Use of cellphones, IPads, Ipods, etc. at work is strictly prohibited. DRUG TESTING: Morey's Piers has a drug tes ng program, which includes pre employment, random and cause/suspicion tes ng. If someone tests posi ve, your job offer will be revoked and CIEE will be no fied. SECOND JOBS: Second jobs outside of Morey's Piers are allowed, provided they are communicated to Interexchange and get approved. However, your second job is your second priority. You must work your Morey s Piers job first. You MUST schedule a second job around your Morey s Piers jobs. We will not change your schedule to accommodate your second job. MEDICAL AGREEMENT: By accep ng a posi on, employee is confirming that he/she has no physical condi ons that would prevent him/her from performing the job du es.

6 Work Hours: Average minimum 35 hours per week. There is no limit on hours. We only promise a minimum and you may be scheduled for more hours if needed and hours are available. Food & Beverage department is limited to 40 hours per week. We expect you to follow your posted schedule. Employees must be available to work nights, holidays and weekends. The schedule might change weekly and you must be prepared to work accordingly. You are expected to show up for work on me and not miss shi s. Star ng mid September, shi s will be primarily weekends only and less than 20 hours per week. We will offer discounted housing in September and/or free meal supplements. However, some students will s ll be scheduled and expected to work during the week. Addi onally, supplemental work may be provided/required. This includes light maintenance, cleaning, pain ng, sweeping, etc. We expect students to con nue working, even when we are open weekends only, by accep ng this posi on, you are agreeing to these terms. Work Schedule: Schedules are prepared by management and will vary from week to week. We are not able to provide fixed schedules and expect students to be flexible. Shi s may vary from 6 to 13 hours. You may request to have certain shi s or days off 2 weeks in advance and we will try to accommodate. If we cannot accomodate, you are expected to work your scheduled shi s. *Hours are subject to change due to weather, park a endance, etc. Par cipants will be no fied either via or in person. Either way, you will not average less than 35 hours per week unless you request addi onal me off or were approved to work only day or night shi s. Uniform Requirements: Uniform shirts are provided. Par cipants must provide their own plain tan shorts and/or pants (cannot be too ght, no rips, big pockets, designs, etc.) and athle c shoes (i.e. Nike, Adidas, etc.). Lifeguards must bring their own polarized sunglasses and flip flops. All staff must maintain a neat, clean appearance. Must bathe daily and use deodorant. No facial piercings or unnatural colored hair. English Requirement: Good command of the English language. 7 Housing Descrip on: We assist students with housing, but individual housing rules, rents, and requirements can vary by property. Housing can most accurately be compared to college/university dormitory. The types of accommoda ons are typically apartments (flats) and rooming houses. Some co ed housing is available. Housing is within walking distance of work, grocery stores, laundry facili es, the beach, etc. Accommoda ons are furnished and usually provide bed linens and cooking supplies. Do not have high expecta ons of the housing; most of it is old, outdated, and poorly styled. However, it is conveniently located. You will find the housing style does not ma er much as most students spend very li le me there. You may find this informa on is not reflec ve of all housing situa ons. You are also permi ed to secure your own housing prior to or upon your arrival. Once you select a place, you are making a commitment to stay there for the season. You will be expected to keep your place clean, get along with your roommates, treat your housing with respect and abide by the set rules! *Par cipants will be able to review and sign a housing agreement. Housing Cost: Rent can range from $ per week depending on the property. Deposit is usually $150, but may vary by property. Most landlords will require the deposit be paid in cash upon arrival. You will be expected to keep your space clean and free of trash, treat the housing and the furniture with respect, and abide by the rules that the housing owner sets. Once you select a place, you are making a commitment to stay there through your commitment date, otherwise you will lose your deposit. Area Descrip on: Wildwood is a beach resort area, located on the Atlan c Ocean. We are within a 3.5 hour drive of Washington D.C.; 3 hour drive of New York City; and a 1.5 hour drive of Philadelphia. Lots of students reside in the area during the summer months.
