2 Welcome to Port Angeles The Parks and Recreation Divisions operate and maintain 36 facilities throughout the City of Port Angeles. 28 of these are city parks. In addition to the parks described herein, the divisions also manage the Senior Services and Community Center, the Port Angeles Fine Arts Center, the Vern Burton Community Center, The Gateway and the Ocean View Cemetery. It is our goal to provide and maintain safe recreational facilities and programs for our community and visitors. The parks we maintain for your benefit and enjoyment include picnic areas, playgrounds, baseball fields, soccer fields, tennis courts, beach access, hiking trails and walking paths, and a picnic shelter, boat launch and restrooms. We welcome you to our parks and look forward to seeing you often as you enjoy the many recreational and relaxing opportunities our parks offer.
