Basic description of the Bumble bee bat * The bumblebee bat is about millimetres in length and 2 grams in mass. * This is the reason for its common name "bumblebee bat". It is the smallest species of bat.

Where is the bumble Bee found and why is it at risk? - The Bumble Bee Bat is found in Thailand and Southwest Burma - They live in limestone caves along rivers What is happening in your species habitat that has put your animal at risk. (Biotic and abiotic factors that have been modified or lost). - One reason that the Bumble Bee Bat Is at risk is because of the logging in its forests bumble bee bats are on the verge of going extinct because of people polluting the habitat - Caves are also being destroyed by minning for limestone, if nothing changes the Bumble bee bat could go extinct

What does the Bumble Bee bat eat and what are its Symbiotic relationships both)? - Bumble bee bat is known as the smallest mammal in the world - The bumble bee bat eats flies around the forest at night catching and eating spiders and insects - The bumble bee bat is a secondary consumer because it eats primary consumers who eat producers Symbiotic Relationships in Nature. - The Bumble bee bat has a commensalism between the ecosystem and the bat - The bat eats prey from the ecosystem and the ecosystem is neither benefitted. This is because the Bumble bee bat is so small and eats so little the prey that is taken from the ecosystem doesn t affect the ecosystem - The Bumble bee bat eats insects, leaves and twigs -

Physical Description of the Bumble Bat The bumble bee bat is a reddish/brown color, with their underside being pale in color, and their wings are relatively dark colored. They are between 29 and 30 mm long. They are the worlds smallest bat and the worlds smallest mammal. They have small eyes and relatively large ears. They have a large web of skin between their hind legs known as the uropatagium, that gives them assistance when in flight. They are most active at dusk when they fly around teak trees and clumps of bamboo capturing insects. Bumblebee bat lifespans are unknown but it is thought to be around 5 to 10 years based on the lifespans of other closely related bats.

Why is the Bumble Bee Bat Endangered The main reason of endangerment for the Bumble Bee Bat is their homes are being disturbed by tourist and pollution which can kill them a lot faster than it kills us because of size difference. The quality of its habitat has been declining because of the workers mining in its cave for limestone. They are very rare mammals to begin with also which is why they are close to extinction.

Recovery Plan We are going to save the Bumble bee bat by making sure that the caves don t get polluted by tourists and limiting people who visit By limiting this the bumble bee bats will have more of a chance to live. The Bumble bee bats habitat is being destroyed by mining for limestone and logging so maintaining the habitat will help save the bumble bee bat We will need donations and we will use the Money from tourists to help rebuild the habitat and make changes to help prevent people from littering, polluting and killing the species.

Info graph Help Save the Bumble Bee Bat!! Help to save the Bumble Bee Bat One of the most endangered species The Bumble bee bats population is decreasing and is close to extinction because of pollution in their habitat Help to save its habitat and caves How would you like your home to be polluted? Treat the bumble bee bats habitat how you would want to live Donate today to help rebuild the habitat and save this endangered species
