Funhouse Hat: We expect children to arrive at Funhouse with a hat (sun protection). Please note, if your child arrives to Funhouse without a hat, a Funhouse hat will be given to your child and a $10 fee will be added to your statement. Funhouse t-shirt: Every two years, we aim to provide each child with a Funhouse t-shirt. For safety reasons, this t-shirt must be worn on excursion days (compulsory). If the Funhouse t-shirt is not worn on an excursion day, an extra t-shirt will be given and a $18.00 fee will be added to your invoice. Water Bottle: Each child must have a water bottle on excursion days (compulsory). 3 / Daily Activities Explained What to bring & arrival Monday 19th Let s welcome these mega holidays by making our own delicious milkshakes with rainbow toppings! We ll be pairing this with giant bubble making outside, and some unconventional eyedropper art to match the colours of our milkshakes! Tuesday 20th Today 3-6 will be heading by chartered coach to Luna Park! They will have a great time in Coney Island, riding 40m high on the giant Ferris Wheel and eating morning tea and lunch at the venue. At Funhouse K-2 will be ipad movie directors, personalising bags to take home and satisfying their sweet tooth with some Fruit Skewers! Arrive Prior to 8.30am (3-6) Wednesday 21st To sharpen our skills for this summer we will all be taking part in a First Aid Workshop. Safety and learning how to deal with emergencies if they happen to us, our family or our friends will be our number one priority! We re also going to be making funky shrink art pieces and some luscious DIY soap scrubs for silky skin! Thursday 22nd The jolly season is upon us! We re going to dive into some delicious cookie making, decorating and of course eating! Everyone will take home a personalised scratch art Christmas Cards, and we ll be making our own Bon Bons for the holiday! Friday 23rd It s the last day before the two week break so it s time to GO BANANAS! The Funhouse staff and children will be travelling by chartered coach to Go Banana s in St Mary s for a fun day of bouncing, climbing and crawling with our friends before we say goodbye until! We will be eating morning tea and lunch at the venue. Funhouse T-shirt (K-6) Arrive prior to 8.30am (K-6) Monday 9th Today in house all children will represent their brand new year groups in a blind taste test challenge! We ll also put on our mad scientist hats and test out some wild science experiments! Finally, we ll add elements of drama by making and performing in our very own Funhouse Shadow Puppet Theatre. Tuesday 10th Today its time to be funky with a Tye Dye! We will be able to choose one of three pieces to work some funky colour magic! We ll also be making pet rocks to take home, building some cubby houses, and enjoying a provided pizza lunch! Morning Tea Only Wednesday 11th Today we will be walking to Event Cinemas at Castle Towers! K-2 will attend a morning movie session and 3-6 will attend a session in the afternoon. We can bring morning tea and treats to eat at the cinemas but we must remember not to share our food. Keep an eye on the Funhouse whiteboard for movies and session times! Thursday 12th Today K-2 will be travelling by chartered bus to the Moving Bodies Center in Mt Kuring-gai! We will be able to use trampolines, a foam pit, a ball pit and a soft climbing structure! We will eat our morning tea and lunch at the venue. 3-6 will be sure to keep cool in house with water balloons, rolling through the slip-n-slide and can bring along their own water toys with name labels for ultimate fun! Friday 13 th Friday the 13 th isn t going to scare us, we re having a crazy hair day at Funhouse! Come with your craziest hair and win a prize after walking down the catwalk! We ll also be settling the score with a soccer tournament and making some beautiful origami! Funhouse T-shirt (K-6) Arrive prior to 8.30am (K-6) Movie Snacks (no nuts) Water Toys & Spare Clothes (3-6) Arrive prior to 8.30am (K-2) Funhouse T-shirt (K-2) Crazy Hair (K-6) Breakfast now available until 8.30am. No re-heating of food will be done at the Centre. Do not send nut products. Wear enclosed shoes, a hat, comfortable and sun safe clothing (no singlets) and wear your Funhouse t-shirt when attending excursion days. 4 / Daily Activities Explained Monday 16th Today we re delving into Indigenous Culture and learning about the Dreaming with an incursion by Taronga Zoo! We ll see and interact with the animals, and learn why they are so important to Indigenous Culture. We ll also be getting arty by creating crazy sculptures, and decorating different types of ceramics. Tuesday 17th 3-6, we ve listened! You will be heading by chartered coach to Attractivity in Alexandria for a day of arcade madness! We ll be having morning tea and lunch at the venue. In the meantime, K-2 will take over Funhouse with a Teddy Bears Picnic! Bring your own bears and we ll have teddy sandwiches, bear races and make bears ears! Wednesday 18th Today we re going to use the Karaoke machine and show our talent in a Funhouse Talent Show with prizes! While we re rehearsing, we can also take a break and celebrate how big we are by playing some Giant Jenga, and Giant Pacman! Thursday 19th Today 3-6 will be travelling by chartered coach to the Sydney Ice Arena in Baulkham Hills! We will skate the morning away with our helmets on, eat our Morning Tea and Lunch at the venue, and we ll receive a snack from the Ice Arena Café! K-2 will have a wet-n-wild in house day with their own water balloon fun, mini slip n side and they may bring along their own water toys with name labels for ultimate fun! Friday 20th K-2 is up for a bouncin excursion! They will be travelling by chartered bus to Lollipops Playland in Castle Hill and for some climbing, jumping and fun! We ll also have some hot chips and sandwiches in our own party room as a special treat! 3-6 will be in house directing and starring in their own imovie films, making sustainable bird feeders and seeing who can build the tallest unconventional tower! Monday 23rd Time for some water and adrenaline fun for 3-6, we ll be heading by chartered coach to Vision Valley Water Park in Arcadia to use their water slide and have some time to practice archery with an instructor! We ll eat our morning tea and lunch at the venue for a chance to dry off! K-2 will be in house building mini boats to test, making mini pizzas with delicious toppings and participating in a photography challenge with prizes! Tuesday 24th We know K-2 love to test their tumbling skills, so we re heading by chartered coach to the Kachan School of Tumbling in South Windsor to learn how to safely practice our tumbles! 3-6 will be in house building mini boats to test, making mini pizzas with delicious toppings and participating in a photography challenge with prizes! Wednesday 25th Today we re getting ready for Australia Day today with some fair dinkum Aussie art, having some sausage rolls and party pies for/with our lunch, and It will definitely be time to slip-slop-slap as we will be getting wet during an exciting incursion Funhouse will be getting our own inflatable water slides! Thursday 26th Closed for Australia Day Friday 27th The holidays are over already!? Well we re going to make the most of it with a back to school party with all our friends! We re going to have a barbeque lunch, personalise a ruler to take to school and some personalised name stickers for all our school gear! 5-6 will walk to Castle Hill RSL for lunch and gelato to prepare for their senior years! On Tuesday 20th I give permission for to take my year 3-6 child/ren to Coney Island, Luna Park at Milsons Point. The children will be playing in an indoor playground, supervised by Funhouse staff. Children will be allowed one ride on the Ferris Wheel in the main park. If the Ferris Wheel is unavailable, staff will select another suitable ride. Children will be eating their morning tea and lunch at the venue and travelling by a chartered bus to and from the venue, arriving back to Funhouse around 3pm. On Friday 23rd I give permission for to take my child/ren to Go Banana s, St Mary s. The children will be closely supervised as they play on the indoor playground and will be eating their morning tea and lunch inside the venue. Children will travel by chartered bus to and from the venue, arriving back to Funhouse around 3pm. On Wednesday 11th I give permission for to take my child/ren to watch a movie at Event Cinema, Castle Towers. K-2 children will attend a session in the morning and children in years 3-6 will be attending a session in the afternoon. Children will be supervised by Funhouse staff. We will be walking to and from the venue and all grades will have arrived back at Funhouse by around 3pm. On Thursday 12th I give permission for to take my K-2 child/ren to the Moving Bodies Centre in Mount Kuring-gai. The venue includes a soft climbing structure and slide, a ball pit, trampolines, a foam pit and other gymnastic equipment. Children will be supervised by Funhouse and venue staff at all times. We will travel by chartered bus to and from the venue and will arrive back to Funhouse around 3pm. On Tuesday 17th I give permission for to take my 3-6 child/ren to Attractivity in Alexandria. Children will have free choice of a variety of activities such as bowling, laser tag, mazes, ropes course, and have morning tea and lunch at the venue. Children will be supervised by Funhouse staff. We will travel by chartered bus to and from the venue and will arrive back to Funhouse around 3pm. On Thursday 19th I give permission for to take my year 3-6 child/ren to the Sydney Ice Arena in Baulkham Hills. The children will be closely supervised by staff as they collect their skates, skate around the rink with their helmets on, and collect their snack from the Café. Children will travel by chartered bus to and from the venue and will arrive back to Funhouse around 3pm. On Friday 20th I give permission for to take my K-2 child/ren to Lollipops Playland in Castle Hill. We may use all facilities including the climbing structure, jumping castles, ball pits, ride-on cars, slides and others. We will eat our morning tea and a provided lunch of hot chips and sandwiches in an allocated party room, and travel by chartered bus to and from the venue. We will arrive back to Funhouse around 3pm. On Monday 23rd I give permission for to take my 3-6 child/ren to Vision Valley in Arcadia. We will use a water slide which leads into a small shallow pool, use archery equipment and will be supervised by Funhouse staff and venue staff at all times. We will be travelling by chartered coach to and from the venue, have morning tea and lunch there too, and will arrive back to Funhouse around 3pm. On Tuesday 24th I give permission for to take my K-2 child/ren to the Kachan School of Tumbling and Performance in Windsor. Children will participate in a number of activities including jumping on trampolines, learning acrobatic skills and learning to perform gymnastics tricks safely under coaches. We will be travelling by chartered coach to and from the venue, having morning tea and lunch at the venue, and will arrive back at Funhouse around 3pm. On Friday 27th I give permission for to take my 5/6 child to Castle Hill RSL. They will be choosing an item from the kids menu for lunch and a flavoured gelato, and may use the outdoor play structure. We will be walking to and from the venue, and will arrive back at Funhouse by 3pm. IMPORTANT: CHANGES OF EXCURSION I give permission for my child/ren to attend an indoor playground such as Lollipops Playland in Castle Hill or Go Banana s in St-Mary s or AMF Bowling in Castle Hill in the event of a change of excursion due to the weather or other constraints. I understand the children will be travelling in a private chartered coach to and from the venue and the staff will provide the best care possible. I hereby state that information supplied in the enrolment form is correct and I confirm I have read the information book (available on our website: I give my child/ren permission to attend Castle Hill Funhouse and participate in the above excursions and the displayed activities. I understand that children will be involved in a variety of active play and I will share my concerns with a Castle Hill Funhouse staff member prior to my child/ren attending, if I have any.
