AUCTION DATE Wednesday, May 23rd, at 10:30 a.m. ETZ AUCTION LOCATION Onancock is located on Virginia s Eastern Shore, 42 miles north of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel and 23 miles south of the Virginia/ Maryland state line. Take U.S. 13 to Onley, VA. Turn west on Virginia Route 179 (at stoplight at Four Corner Plaza Shopping Center). After entering Onancock take 4th Street left onto Justis Street. Go one block to Carnival Grounds at corner of Johnson Street. NORTON of Michigan This is actually our second auction for the fine people at the Onancock Volunteer Fire Department! In 1985 we auctioned their circa 1917 Allen Herschell wood merry-go-round. The carousel came to Onancock in the early 1940 s from a small park in Maryland. The fireman elected to sell the carousel to prevent loss from fire or vandalism. It sold separately at the auction after being offered complete. The volunteer fire department used the funds for operations and upgrades to their carnival.
