3 From the Chapter Directors Hello Everyone Well August is here and the heat is back, it seems to return in time for the Iowa State Fair. Sounds like it going to back in the 90 s, we had it pretty good the last couple of weeks of July, in the 70 s and 80 s and lower humidity, yea, what a relief is was for ourselves and the A/C. The heat is back which means we need to stay well hydrated, be careful riding in the heat and humidity, take frequent breaks. There is a lot of riding left in the season, so let s go out and have a lot of fun and ride safe. Rides will be going on all over the area and there are plenty places to go for us all to ride. Please feel free to join in on those rides, the more the better. Speaking of rides, we have some rides that will be going to Payton, Grimes, Clear Lake, Iowa City and other cities all over the country, even Knoxville, TN. We all love to ride and give rides, so help us join with Chapter A and give rides to others who will get a big thrill, it will mean a lot to us all. There is a lot going on all over the District and other Districts, so check your calendars for events. There is always something for us to do and be with others and have fun. Remember that we are having the Iowa District Rally in Fort Dodge, Sept. 28 th and 29 th, so get registered!! Go to the Iowa District website to do that. We will need your help in doing something big or small, come and have fun. WING DING 40 is happening in Knoxville, TN, and will be a lot of FUN and a lot of riding for us all. Some of us will be traveling to Wing-Ding 40 and will have a lot of fun and we are wishing you could be with us all, have fun this August and be safe. Have fun and get out and ride. 4 Chapter IA-W Chapter Couple of the Year John & Barb Kilmer Congratulations!!! To a Great couple who love to ride and participate. Couple of the Year Program Remember that you could be that couple of the Year, and get out and have all the fun that can be had at all the events and function that are going on throughout the District, other Districts and going to National and see and meet lots of friends. All you have to do is just go out and be with your friends and participate and just have fun. Selection competition is totally up to you, it s a lot of fun and things have changed to make it easier and better. Go out and have fun and participate, participate, participate, there are a lot of great friends out there who all have fun. Being Couple of the Year is an honor and a lot of fun.

5 WATCH FOR MOTORCYCLES, IT S THAT TIME OF THE YEAR ==================================================================== MOTOR AWARENESS Remember to always ride safe and see and be seen. Let those out on the rode know your e there, by letting them see you and knowing your e there. Light up your e bikes and wear bright clothing. Remember to let our ride coordintors, Gary Kuehnast and Roger Vansickel know if there are any places or ideas about rides you would like to do and be a part of, so they can plan for us all to ride and be together. Dinner rides are a fun way for us all to get together and have fun. Riding is what it s all about while the season is here, so let s get out and ride and have fun. ====================================================================

7 Membership Enhancement Coordinator Remember that we are celebrating our 5 th year as a Chapter in GWRRA and tell those thank you for all the great years we have had. We plan to have many more years of fun with all our friends in GWRRA, and thanks for all the great jobs you all are doing in participating in Chapter Life and with others. Our next Chapter get-together will be August 11 th at 8am, at JaMars Drive-in, in Fort Dodge, IA. for breakfast and an informational get to gether, with a ride afterward. Remember that we always want you to bring a friend to our gatherings and invite those to join us on a ride, if they ride a bike/trike or drive an auto, all are welcomed to join in our fun events and activities. We want all those who want to particpate in a safe and fun experience, and join us for a good time. People love to be with others and not be left out of all the fun. There are some rides that are happening all over the District and other Districts, so check out the newsletters and websites for those events and calendars, so we can all have a good time a participate with our friends and others who like to have fun. Iowa District Rally is in Fort Dodge, Iowa this year on Sept, 28 th and 29 th, so plan on coming and letting others know of the great time we will have, and all that great riding oppurtunities they will have. Other Distict will be having their rallies and events this year, so check out their calendars for info and times, they will love to see you. For those still thinking about going to Wing Ding this year in Knoxville, TN, just let us know, we would love for you to join in the FUN!. We still have some rooms availible, that we have booked to stay at in Knoxville, TN., all the more welcomed. Get out in the public and ride and let those know that we are a lot of fun to be with, and tell them we would like to see them agein some day, and please ride safe.

8 Willies Adventures: Willie is back home with the Directors, Roger & Vicki Harris. He is taking a rest form all the miles he just traveled, so he can do some PR work and get ready to go on another long trip to Knoxville, TN. to Wing-Ding 40 and have Fun.
