2 INVITATION LETTER by WAKO President Mr. Borislav Pelevic TO ALL WAKO MEMBERS Dear Friends, I am very pleased to invite you All to attend our next (all styles) regarding our best CADETS and JUNIORS, that will be held in JESOLO LIDO (Venice), ITALY, at the sport hall PALAZZO DEL TURISMO, where WAKO already hosted a Senior European Championship in The World Championships will be held from 15 th to 23 rd SEPTEMBER I would like to thank the promoters of this new edition of the World Championships for Cadets and Juniors, Mr. Nicola Traina and Mrs. Barbara Falsoni. The event is supported and organized in cooperation with the Italian Kickboxing Federation (FIKBMS), a big thanks to Mr. Donato Milano, FIKBMS President, and to all other members of the local Organizing Committee! As everybody knows very well Italy does have a long tradition and experience in the organization of such big WAKO Championships, so I m sure once again everybody will have the opportunity to enjoy a new marvellous experience in that country in the name of FAIR PLAY and SPORT. Young athletes represent the future of kickboxing, the local and WAKO Organizing Committee will certainly do their best and will be at disposal during the whole period of the Championship to make the main event of the year memorable as Cadets and Juniors deserve, for their great passion, sacrifices and dedication towards this sport, such as all other people involved among officials, coaches, supporters, referees and judges ecc. Jesolo is a seaside town, close to Venice, in September the weather is normally still quite nice on that final summer period, for this reason all competitors, officials, fans and families may take the opportunity to spend also a pleasant week discovering local attractions of Veneto region that are strongly reccommended. The World Championship for Cadets and Juniors has always been an high level sport event, from a cultural, social and relational point of view. It represents for all of us a great satisfying and joyful moment. The World Championship dedicated to the young athletes of kickboxing produces an extraordinary quantity of continuous emotions, it is a fantastic educational and cultural model of social cohesion among people, BEYOND all barriers created unfairly by man. This huge event has great value, in a spirit of fair play and healthy competition, where young participants will have the opportunity not only of fighting learning to challenge each other while respecting the rules, but also of socializing, meeting and striking up new friendships. A great occasion also for us as adults to be an example of correctness, loyalty, friendship to all young competitors, in a spirit of SPORT for ALL! After 13 long years, during which we could experience many other successful Championships held in Italy: Naples WC 2008, Lignano Sabbiadoro WC 2009 and EC 2011, Rimini WC 2014, we would like to invite you All to discover again this beautiful area of Veneto Region! It is time to get back there! Jesolo Lido is on the seaside, so that you can enjoy not only the World Championships for Cadets & Juniors (all disciplines) that we are preparing for you in the best possible way, but also the atmosphere and main local attractions of the town and region during that closing summer season period. In fact the WAKO World Championships for Cadets & Juniors 2018 will take place from 15 th to 23 rd September Italy has a very long tradition in promoting international events and, as usual, Italian Kickboxing Federation (FIKBMS) and its people, in cooperation with us as main promoters of the event, will do our very best to offer you all a memorable event! 8 LIVING IN JESOLO Jesolo, a modern city. Organized and redesigned by the internationally acclaimed Japanese architect Kenzo Tange, new realizations are distributed along the city. Flag and National Anthem Each participating countries must bring 2 (two) flags, size 90 x 130 cm and a CD/pendrive/portable drive with their National Anthem. The flag and

22 CD/pendrive/portable drive are needed to be handed in at the registration and will be returned to each participating countries after the competition. Anti-Doping It is strictly forbidden to take any illegal stimulants that are against the rules of the WAKO Anti-Doping Regulations. WAKO will have anti-doping tests on randomly chosen participants. Each participants found positive by test will be sanctioned according to the WAKO General Rules and the WADA Code. Rules For any further clarifications about Age Divisions or any other technical and competition matter please check them out at WAKO Rules available on WAKO website
